I truly enjoy making different genres. I discover new things, I learn and it serves as a creative outlet for when I bounce back to my usual sound/style.

With this particular song I wanted to go for a laidback feeling that blends nostalgia and sort of happiness at the same time. It shares different meanings to me, but what about you?

This song was originally released to the mainstream in 1961 by Bobby Vee. The music was written by the legendary Carole King with lyrics by Gerry Goffin.

This particular arrangement is from the show "Beautiful: The Carole King Musical" and is originally performed as a duet between the two leads.  I was blown away by how many hits from the 60s (an era I love) had been written by Carole King as a ghostwriter.  I only discovered this after seeing the show, and this particular song got stuck in my head, and then quickly became one of my vocal warm-up pieces. It just always uplifted me and put me in a happy mood.
