Philipp Läufer is a prolific artist based in Berlin. After starting the post-punk band Bleib Modern and his own record label Black Verb Records, War Scenes became an outlet for his solo productions. In his first live jams and recordings under the alias, he quickly established a unique cut of techno; a hybrid of relentlessly propulsive lines, bred with broken, machine-born sounds, forming conflictingly raw and surgical output. War Scenes live shows are pure punk-techno, using analog gear and only the most necessary elements to keep bodies moving.

Søulless is the techno project of Francesco Presotto, ex-member and founder of Førgotten with Davide Pappalardo, and a member of the noise/dark ambient outfits Geometria Nervosa together with Sara Ohm and Dark Ambient Unit with Nicola Cimino aka Sharplines/Nathaniel. Francesco has been playing and producing music since early 2000's, in 2010 he started his solo project Søulless. His tracks have been played by many names of the current scene, from SPFDJ to Hector Oaks, from Broken English Club to Richie Hawtin, 999999999 and VTSS. Last year He played at ADE and in many European clubs like Tresor (Berlin) and Twenty One (Tampere), as well as in many secret raves. Expect a very personal mix of techno, industrial elements, acid, electro, and whatever this mutant artist sees as fit for his ever evoving music. Søulless is one of Italy's hidden treasures, come and see him in action to believe it.

As a child, this demon in the rising was drawn to a bevy of musical outlets. James Demon learned how to sing and to play the cello before even reaching high school. It was obvious that the universe had granted this boy with the gift of creativity. Little did he know that one day the music would become his entire world. Literally growing up in the rave scene in the late 90s, James was exposed to a diverse range of music from techno to happy hardcore. Shortly after embarking on his musical voyage through the soundscapes of electronic music, he began to buy his first techno records. Heavily influenced by female artists from Germany, he began to spend every penny he had on vinyl. Once he 
graduated high school, he finally got his first pair of turntables and so his journey continued. Spending the next few years jumping from different styles, from electro to minimal, from electroclash to EBM, James eventually fell back into his first love for techno. He decided to put all of his focus into finding his own sound and creating a brand for himself. Drawn towards the more obscure, dark, and gothic soundscapes, this techno loving fiend had finally found his niche. He was re-born with a mission at hand to solidify a harmony between polarities like masculine, feminine, the light and the darkness. His love affair with music and the occult began to blossom into one entity. He started DJing in the year 2000 and moved around the USA playing in different cities including San Francisco where he lived until he moved to Berlin in 2013. There he started to throw parties and DJ regularly in clubs like Wilde Renate, Griessmuehle, and About Blank. After studying music business in college, James was ready to commence on his next musical adventure. In 2017 he decided it was time to bring his love for the arcane and techno together in the form of a record label called Occultists. The label will feature artists who will emerge from the shadows 
bringing us to a higher state of being through music and esoteric knowledge. Seeking to create a soundscape that is techno for witches, the releases range from ethereal to dark, with a focus on the goth feeling behind their branding and music. Lovecraftian atmospheres meet steady techno beats and obsessive snare drums in the labels productions, underlined by eerie ambiances and hypnotizing movements. The souls of techno, EBM, minimal wave, even electro-pop haunt cyber-dark bodies made of compulsive mantras in a retro-futurist ritual, as well as syncopated rhythms and exhilarating refrains full of pathos and sometimes majestic vocals. Different names with their own style, but a coherent attitude lined to the labels values and art can be found in it’s roster: from Lucia Luna and her soulful melodies to Mystic Future and their dark techno vibes with minimal structures, from Dugong and her soundscapes mixing minimal techno, 
ambient and suave vocals to Skin&#39;s downtempo passages with syncopated rhythms and broken movements. 
James himself has published a series of EPs on the label starting with Alessa and its minimal techno vibes to Padded Cell and its deep style with engaging loops, and the evocative Cult Of Cthulhu with its ethereal and suggestive sound. He even had a big successful tour in the USA in 2019 and he continues to spread himself as an artist, as well as continuing to grow Occultists where he keeps focusing on building new talent who are not putting themselves in the techno bubble that the current industry is stuck in.

Different times require different methods, different problems ask for different solutions. In an era without much sense or reason, without a clear path if not one toward annihilation, old morality becomes an excerpt, a footnote in the abysmal history of mankind. Moral Excerpt is born out of all of this unrelenting decay, a devilish creature without a stable place in time and space. Francesco Presotto, already know as the mind behind the noise outfit Geometria Nervosa and the mutant techno project Søulless, unites forces with music reviewer, underground composer and copywriter Davide Pappalardo a.k.a. Førgotten and Abismø, going one step further in the pursuit of modern noise music with roots in the past. By mixing harsh noise, ambient, orchestral music, rhythmic mantras, they want to achieve a sound with a purpose and far from both today's fashionable scenes and tiresome clichés. Expect a score for our age, sonic comments about politics, society, inner turmoils, and the violent side of existence — rage, melancholy, confusion, moments of epiphany picture a contradictory world with nothing certain but death.
