Ascension

This new piece is part of a continuing project I've been working on for solo piano called "Heroism is Tragedy". In this part, entitled "Tragedy" I try to capture the frustration, anger, and languishing hope we have all shared this past year, hearing about or directly experiencing the tragedies of this pandemic. I want to dedicate this piece to my amazing wife Genevieve, who has been on the front lines as a paramedic; she and so many others have struggled more than I can ever imagine. I hope I have captured these emotions in the song so we can share in them and heal together with music. Stay safe everyone, we're almost through this!

Heroism

The Keres were female death-spirits. They were the goddesses who personified violent death and who were drawn to bloody deaths on battlefields. Although they were present during death and dying, they did not have the power to kill. All they could do was wait for them to die and then they could feast on the dead.

I compose and digitally produce music. We are the universe marveling at its own splendor and creating art is my way of marveling at the splendor of the universe. Geomusicache means "Earth Music Preservation Provision".
