"Taking Flight" is largely influenced by a song I wrote just over a year ago titled Plans for Victory. Since it was the first song I'd ever written I wanted to re-record the entire thing with my contemporary musical and production know-how. As I started the project I made a ton of changes to the song, so much so that it ended up being a completely new, different piece, with previous riffs appropriately added in here and there. I'm more proud of this song than anything else I've made. Enjoy.

Blacklit Canopy have a haunting atmospheric sound. This track Columba was recorded and produced at my studio. I absolutely love the combination of the layered vocals and the weird effects on the cymbal washes.
