FBN007 sees up and coming artist D-Nite make his mark on the label with ‘True Force’.  The Belgian producer co-runs ‘Les Flaneurs’ collective in his home town Liège, using their radio residencies to showcase his various musical inspirations. D-Nite reflects his range of influences in the four track EP, exploring all corners of leftfield dance music. 

The first track ‘Substantial’ immediately puts the EP’s title into play with heavy, electro chords accompanied by breakbeat percussives in the centre of the track. On the follow up, ‘Dive’ flips the switch whilst maintaining the momentum with a garage-infused number that oscillates between wobbly bass and trance influenced synths. The title track ‘True Force’ maximises the intensity with a drum and bass tempo that builds on the previous trancey undertones to create an impactful cadence of euphoria. To round off the EP, Melbourne based producer Hedchef revisits ‘Substantial’, providing a remix that morphs the track into raw electro weaponry.

We are happy to present our new track series NEIGHBOURHOOD WATCH. We will be releasing these occasionally and each volume will consist of 5 tracks from some of the underground’s finest.

We will be monitoring the scene day in day out to see who’s making some serious trouble! Repeat offenders will be tracked down and invited to participate.

First up we have 5 producers from across the globe who have caught our eye over the past year. We have Soft Grunge who's been waving the electro flag high in the City of Kyiv. Joined by Los Angeles based User Delusion who is smashing through the scene as of late with his fast-paced gritty ghetto tek and electro. We then have a Russian electro bomb made by someone who constantly raises eyebrows of all listeners and that is Alxs.f. Taking the controls next is the UK’s own Obzerv, anyone who has heard his tracks before will know exactly what to expect. Finishing off is another UK based artist SELFHOOD. He has treated us to a smoking hot old school sounding track.

Who Is Arcadia - The Dog Is Scratching At The Door

We are back yet again with the second installment of our track series NEIGHBOURHOOD WATCH bringing you 5 tracks from producers situated across the globe!

Firstly, we have an artist from New Zealand who invites you to sample his old school Detroit electro-based productions and that is Mokotron who says kia ora on his behalf. He comes in hot with his track "Reach Into The Darkness". This track is fast and bass-driven with seamless vocal improvisation adding to the tension of the track.

Next we have PTMS who we personally feel is one of electro's most exciting up-and-coming prospects. PTMS is a Helsinki-based artist making a name for himself with his heavy-hitting metallic sound. He has contributed to the compilation with his acidic track "Untitled".

Wemory is Frankfurt-based DJ & Producer who has a great taste in all music showcasing a lot of variation & styles in the mixes we've heard from him. He comes in with a beauty of a track titled "Hmmidnite Downride". We think this tune will go down a treat as its fresh and bouncy vibes really resonate with a lot of listeners.

Tom Place is up next, who has recently released an action-packed EP with our good friends over at Childsplay. His bass-driven dubstep influence and his futuristic electro style has all been merged into one track "Concrete Dub". This stinker of a tune is definitely not to be missed!

Last but not least is one of the scenes’ best kept secrets who we are sure is going to develop into a major player, Will Ortiz. We have high expectations for him due to his impeccable taste which is evident in his lovely synth-driven Detroit styled electro and ghettotech. He closes the show with his track “Chi Town”.

MOKOTRON - Reach Into The Darkness

The Brvtalist is pleased to premiere a new track from Dagga X Manao. Two of the hottest names of the Electro spectrum teamed up to deliver their first LP together on the now defunct label No Service. 'Escape From Horno City' features 13 breakneck electro bangers filled with acid, breaks and distorted 808 that will make you work up a sweat on the dance floor. The release also includes 2 remixes from the prolific Belarusian Viikatory and Raw Takes.

This is the first release in a series of charity compilations dedicated to the indomitable spirit of Ukrainians. Currently, our families are facing challenges such as living in a total blackout, with no electricity, water, and internet for 40-60 hours or more, in cold buildings, wearing every piece of clothing we have to keep ourselves warm. This release is also dedicated to all the people around the world who have helped us, and to those who still continue to support us during these difficult times. That's where the name of the series ("VOLUNTEERS") and release ("BLACKOUT") came from. Everyone who has supported Ukraine in any way is a volunteer. In the context of this compilation, every musician, mastering engineer, artwork designer, and person who buys the release or a track from it is also a volunteer.

Death Raw marks the first release of 2020 for Birmingham-based label Fly By Night Recordings, providing a heavy-hitting breaks and electro 4-track EP from French artist A-Sim (@a-sim1988), featuring a collaboration with Evenn (@evennnn) and a remix from UK Bass artist Pluralist (@pluralist). With releases on R&S Records and RAWAX, A-Sim is an emerging artist to watch, heavily influenced by the sound of UK Bass and breakbeat. Death Raw brings a sign of darker things to come from Fly By Night, yet still focusing on the club-based sounds the label revolves around.
