Justin Beeper - One Another

The Scene: Mike, Joe, and Ammo (AKA rad local filmmaker group Blvd Du Cinema) wanted to create a short for this year's 48-Hour Film Festival competition. Thematically, all I knew was "Action Movie." For one reason or another, though a camper (basketball-techno, for one) angle might have been a more natural fit, my scoring listed heavily toward Creepatoria. Spurned, bitter guitars, tracked through stacked, heavily-modulated delay/chorus units (Effectron II and Ibanez AD202). My imposing-sounding Kramer DMZ-1000 aluminum-neck bass, nicely toasted through the Charisma. Austere single-hit drums and a lost children's hovel of textural details.

My favorite is probably "Uhhhhh... (Long)." Peals of cross-pitched bass arpeggios, twisted around elemental low dirges, and patently unsettling atmospheres. It was used to chilling effect in the final short.
