Après son documentaire Ouvrir la voix, la réalisatrice Amandine Gay nous propose Une histoire à soi, un voyage dans le temps pour découvrir cinq portraits singuliers d’enfants adopté.es. De la Corée du Sud au Rwanda, elle donne la parole aux adopté·es, aujourd’hui adultes, afin qu’iels puissent se réapproprier la narration. Comment les enfants vivent-ils cette expérience ? Comment briser ce silence qui pèse sur l’adoption ? Clémentine Gallot et Emeline Amétis l’ont vu et nous en parle dans cet épisode court.

‘Roll’ is the first official single taken from Jonny Wildey’s highly anticipated debut album ‘Nitely’, following his cover of Rosie Gaines’ UKG classic ‘Closer’ (‘a divine exploration that thrives on beatific emotion’ - Clash Magazine)

‘Roll’ is one of the most driving and direct takes from ‘Nitely’ and, although the track most reminiscent of the imaginative electronic production perfected under his Alphabets Heaven moniker, also demonstrates the strong psych/soul influences and pop sensibilities that define the album.

Aptly affectionate, playful and personable in vibe, ‘Roll’ is, in Wildey’s own words, ‘about how you and your friends can be a really important, and often fun, support network for each other’.

Wildey’s wistfully airy vocals, warm rhodes chords & vibraphones lay down the cushioning bed for a squelchy SH101 bass line, seriously tumping drums and 70’s bubbling synthlines come together to roll you along for this mellow-tough journey.

nur noch eine woche, dann habe ich hoffentlich endlich frei (projekt beendet!!!) und kann mich dann endlich mal wieder der musik vernuenftig widmen ... inner zwischenzeit hab ich det hier letzte nacht aufgenommen ... voellig uebersteuert, hoffentlich reisst's euch nicht die ohren ab ...

one more week to finish my contract (work!!!), but then i should finally be able to spend some real quality time on something hopefully resembling music (at least to some degree)

in the meantime i recorded this last night (should've worked really, don't tell the boss) ...

For our fifteenth release we are pleased to introduce Selva debut’s on GLBDOM with Duffel Bags EP.
Selva is producer and occasional DJ hailing from Merida, México who produces a sample based house sound for both home and club use on his old computer.
This EP is a house incursion into the old school hip-hop subculture and sampling techniques. Jazz and soul loops and cuts vandalized with urban noise and covered in dazed out synths. Some tracks are aggressively energetic like the opener "Duffel Bags" and the East coast styled "NY1994", while others like "Electric Sheep" and "Sampled Dream" offer mellower grooves for easy listening.
