In the heart of Rome's diverse club scene, Julia, the multifaceted artist, unveils her latest creation - "Chant of Ancestors." This track is a symphony of contrasts, seamlessly blending the vibrant worlds that make up Julia's musical identity.
Residing in two genre clubs inspired Julia to craft a track that transcends boundaries, embracing both strength and lightness, darkness and dreaminess. "Chant of Ancestors" seeks balance in the duality of our planet, merging warm sounds representing roots and Mother Nature with the coldest tones resonating from the exosphere to deep space. Influenced by Italian songs from the '60s, Julia pays homage to Piero Piccioni through vocals while interweaving strong percussion and organic Afrikaan/Arabic instruments, creating a captivating multicultural tapestry.
For Julia, music is not a choice but a life force. From her first console at 15 to playing with orchestras at the Auditorium, her journey paused due to a life-altering accident. Yet, amidst hospital walls, music became her beacon of hope.
"Chant of Ancestors" draws inspiration from a documentary about the Nigerian Yoruba tribe, infusing an authentic global touch. In the studio, Julia introduces a playful twist with her own vocals, embracing a language-free, joyful vibe.
In essence, "Chant of Ancestors" is more than a track; it's a sonic exploration of Julia's diverse influences, personal resilience, and global inspirations. Each beat invites listeners into Julia's musical universe, where the harmony of opposites takes center stage.
