XAILO is comprised of layer upon layer of syncopated xylophone, bells and string section held together with a haunting Icelandic vocal I recorded in London." - John Monkman

John Monkman shot firmly into the limelight in 2015 with his collaboration with Pete Tong, plus a remix of Solomon Grey’s Twilight, which topped the Beatport charts reaching #1. He has since gone on to do more collaborations with Pete Tong and released on some the world’s biggest and most cutting-edge labels including Kompakt, Crosstown Rebels and Get Physical, which have all received high critical acclaim and support across the board. 2016 also saw him launch his own label Beesemyer Music. 2017 will be a standout year for Monkman, with music already signed to Rebellion, Crosstown Rebels, Noir and the fourth collaboration with Pete Tong in the pipeline. Expect to see big things from this London-based artist.

Kiasmos mark their return in 2017 with a new 12” EP titled Blurred — available worldwide on October 6th via Erased Tapes.

Since their 2015 Swept EP, the duo have been performing shows extensively across the world. After writing and recording together in their native Iceland this year, the pair will be bringing a glimpse of light to a particularly gloomy time of year as their light sounds are brighter than ever.

￼The EP closes with remixes from British producer Bonobo and German electronic musician Stimming, taking tracks Blurred and Paused into different coloured realms.

He uses static and warm pads and combines them with a slow, meaty bass to journey to the galactic body called IRS13. With this EP, Wood and Ben aim to let you live the experience of how it could be to lay eyes on this black hole for the first time and feel the power to forge new stars. Three… Two… One… Liftoff!
