That little black and white photo we took

Fell out of an old book

As we were packing up our place

Back then we were just kids

How we fell in love back then

Summer days and moonlit nights

 Walking close holding you tight

Diet coke and fries

Watching the moon over the Jersey shore

Didn’t know what we were looking for

Found it in each other’s eyes

It was Wildwood you were mine

Seems like the blink of an eye

From 18 to 35

Days go by so fast

Sometimes little things get in the way

We got bills to pay and

Good times never seem to last

Think it’s time we slowed down

Got ourselves out of this town

And felt the sand between our toes

Four kids in a minivan

Find a house with a yard of sand

At the bottom of route nine

Let ‘em all out on the beach

Later on get ‘em back to sleep

Stay up late with a bottle of wine

Here in Wildwood we’ll find the time

Kids got married had their own families

But every mid-July it’s like we’re back in time

Summer days and moonlit nights walking slow still holdin’ you tight

Got our grandkids by our side

Said goodbye as they drove away found ourselves in north Cape May
