Born in 1930, I have seen a lot of different genres of music.  The 1920/1930 style has been very impressive to me.  My goal was to write a song in that style.  Looking At The World in Chocolate Covered Glasses is the result of my effort to do that.

WINGS ON THE EAGLE

I celebrated  my 52th year in song writing in June of 2014.  I still find a thrill in coming up with a new title and seeing it turn into a song, a word of encouragement or a laugh for someone.  Charlie Walker, Orval Profitt, Aaron Wilburn, Jim Hamill are some of those that have recorded my songs.   I have gone from knocking on doors in Nashville
in the late 1960's to digital promotion today.  It takes a lot of time and effort and being in the right place at the right time.  I had lunch with Billy Ray Reynolds in 1969 and when someone came looking for a song for a full-length movie, he used my song.  It was a big thrill to set in the movie theater and have all my family with me.   The year 2012 has brought a lot of attention to the two songs Charlie Walker recorded for me 27 years ago.   Little League in Heaven and Thank God For The Roses are on more playlist today than ever before.  I had the pleasure of working with the late Neil Bonnett, as he recorded his only song.  The Bear Bryant for President back in 1980 was a lot of fun.  And I am thankful to former Alabama Football Coach, Gene Stallings for allowing me to write a song about his son, who passed away two years ago.  My biggest excitement has been writing with Patsy Trigg of Grandma Got Run Over By A Reindeer fame.  We now have a 2012 Christmas project out that will include a song, an eBook, and a Audio Book.  Our recent contract with Dandee International includes a license for them to manufacture 17 products.
