Regal Radio is West Lothian’s very own radio station, you can listen live at www.regalrqdio.net - Run by a dedicated team of local presenters Regal Radio continues to go from strength to strength.

Mike Kelly the Production Manager commissioned me to create a suite of jingles to help promote the station and in particular his breakfast show. The jingles cover a variety of styles so it's important to be versatile :)

This is the first track I've put together myself in a while so although a little rough round the edges it was fairly satisfying to do. Nothing much else to say about it really :)

 "I Hear You Knocking" (or "I Hear You Knockin'") is a rhythm and blues song written by Dave Bartholomew. New Orleans rhythm and blues singer Smiley Lewis first recorded the song in 1955. The lyrics tell of the return of a former lover who is rebuffed and Huey "Piano" Smith provided the prominent piano accompaniment in the style associated with Fats Domino.

Here's a cover of Dougie MacLean's beautiful and poignant song Caledonia, which we recorded in 2014 as The Celtic Hackers, to give a name to what was basically an informal collaboration between old friends. Happy days.

This is a cover of the Dire Straits song Romeo and Juliet, recorded back in December 2016. I wanted to re-create the feel of the live version from the On Every Street Tour back in 1993, by which time Dire Straits were a massive 9 piece band. Many thanks to the fantastic George Wood for being my partner in crime on this one.
