A short audio piece composed from a 5 second audio file entitled paperwork.  The project was part of a BSc in Music and Sound Technology.  The purpose of the composition was to be able to compose and design sound using a limited sound source, in this case a 5 second piece of audio.

The concept behind 'Time Ends' was to have different textures and ambiences which cut between each other to signify time as a non-linear idea.  The quick changes of texture represent quick changes in time but not location.

'Pan Narrans' is a experimental dance piece composed using only one human voice as a sound source.  Using vocal samples such as whistling, singing and spoken word, the original samples were loaded into samplers, edited and manipulated to make a dance piece with very distinct sections.  The purpose of the composition was to explore a theme and compose using this idea and to stick to certain rules.  The rules in this case were that I could only use my voice for the sound source but then I could manipulate these vocal samples to create new samples such as drum hits and sound effects.  When composing this piece I was very conscious of keeping an organic feel to the piece as well as the electronic influence.
