The 'Follow The Lights' remix provides a positive and uplifting message which aims to help people who are suffering from mental health issues such as depression. Following the release of their acclaimed debut LP, ‘Dual Sides’, alternative hip hop dwellers Ceiling Demons are back. Their new single, ‘Even If’, marks the return of producer Beat Demon, after a mysterious disappearance to the Far East. Reunited once more with Psy Ceiling and Dan Demon in their homeland of the Yorkshire Dales, the track is a hopeful homage to the people who pass through our lives.

This May, obscure alternative hip-hop dwellers Ceiling Demons are set to return with a new project, Belly of the Hopeless. Exploring the uncharted waters of the human psyche, this experimental tape delves through sounds, substances and the fine line between torment and delight. Produced by Jonathan Swift of Outside Your House and recorded in County Durham, UK, Belly of the Hopeless deals a blow of northern grit and rawness – an ongoing theme in the Demons' work – intertwined with the trip-hop sensibilities of its Bristol-born producer. The EP has been mastered by Faithful Johannes and is scheduled for a digital and cassette release by Durham's new DIY imprint, Frux Tapes, on 27th May 2016.

The Darker The Thoughts Get

In today’s uncertain times, Ceiling Demons’ latest release, March Forward, couldn’t come around at a better time, with its heartfelt lyricism speaking volumes for the power of perseverance.

Since the release of their experimental EP, Belly of the Hopeless – and the standalone split 7", Lost the Way, via singles club Come Play With Me – in late 2016, Ceiling Demons have been crafting a fresh body of work, to be released later in the year via Durham-based DIY label: Win Big Records.

Driven by the warm sound of brass, March Forward marks the transition of the seasons as the death of winter is reborn into spring. The track features on NARC Magazine’s 11th Birthday compilation and sees twin brother duo Psy Ceiling and Dan Demon go through an emotive journey of loss and acceptance. Recognition of our own mortality and inner struggles is interspersed with an uplifting message which, ultimately, offers a sense of hope.
