MAGICAL DREAM

I can see clouds coming in the distance,
I can see our dreams lost in the dark,
We could feed the fire and stay together
or just step back and let it die. 

In our old secret palace, 
where the wind used to laugh, 
where we promised each other our wish will come alive.

It's a place that we can bring back.
It's a place where we could return.

But when the winter came by,
made your feelings cool down,
when love reaches a dead end we get blind for what we liked. 

You forgot what you told me, 
like a tear in the sand,
and all lost and abandoned I had to learn how to walk.

Should we really bring that place back?
Do we really want to return?

That haunted past got lost among the stars,
rain falling from the clouds.
A flock of birds that now are flying back, 
to the so distant south.

Not a place that we can bring back.
Not a place where we could return.

Now I'm trying to gather, 
what is left of my heart, 
sewing with silver linings, bringing me some warmth and light. 

Wave goodbye to the sunset, 
Look forward to the dawn,
Taking care of this candle blinking till the sun has come.

A nice place that I can bring back.
A nice place where I can return.

New dreams are coming now to heal me, 
my eyes are closing in the night.
Sweet taste is hiding what was bitter, 
soft breeze is melting all that ice. 

My eyelids feel so heavy now.
I'm drifting to my dream,
to the place that I'm bringing back.
to the place where I will return.

I composed this melody on the piano but I couldn't find a name for it. It was just a sad melody and... we have winter ❄️. Finally I called the composition "Winter Sadness".

Winter Sadness (Demo Version)

I've re-recorded my arrangement of this Irish aire  (An Ghaoth Aneas) that some say is anonymous, but has also been credited to 'Freckled Donal McNamara' who in the 1700's was homesick for his County Mayo home.  Played on my Taran guitar tuned to DADGAD.
