You did not listen to the serpent but, my mother sinned and listened to its calling
You did not pluck from the garden but, my mother plucked unlawfully from its fruit

You are Holy Pure All the while, I’m the one who is lost In evil and gone astray
You are high in Heaven however, I am of the earth Made from its dust

So why are You here crucified, And I the sinner am free and boastful

Wisdom O Lord I do not understand, And compassion high above and endless

Wondrous O Lord what has happened, And why their hatred for You why
You lived O my King a while amongst them removing hatred and division among them

You O Holy One were a compassionate heart, Filling the Universe with Love and Peace
You were a leg to the lame and a Hand, to the paralyzed and a Father among the orphans

You raised the dead and the blind saw, the lame neglected was strengthened and arose
So why did the world rise against, Your kindness and increased in hurting You

So why are You here crucified, And I the sinner am free and boastful

Wisdom O Lord I do not understand, And compassion high above and endless

I rather than You deserve crucifixion, I the architect of shame who defiles oneself
Woe is me who wastes his day in wandering, like wasting his yesterday

I who seeks after death and in a, fleeting moment or in drunkenness digs his own grave
Thirsty I hastened and bescheeched, the serpent to fill my cup

O crucified who saw all, who deny His Holiness in the world
Whenever my eye glimpses You, My soul ashamed and cornered is covered with tears
