Georgia Railroad may be comprised of members with very diverse musical backgrounds, but it finds itself right at home in the Newgrass-Americana scene. Georgia Railroad formed in 2013 and consists of Karl Hepler on guitar, Dave Hardy on bass, Matt Warwick on banjo, and Jacques Dolan on fiddle. While their various backgrounds include folk, rock, blues, country, punk, and metal, the guys each found themselves attracted to the honesty and ethos of the modern Americana / Roots movement. Inspired by groups ranging from Old Crow to Drive-by Truckers to The Infamous Stringdusters, Georgia Railroad blends traditional acoustic instrumentation with an edge that was honed in more rock-based genres. With a focus on delivering energetic performances that get toes tapping and asses shaking, Georgia Railroad is a band that is best experienced live.
