It was through reading Robin Wall Kimmerer’s Braiding Sweetgrass that I learnt about pioneer species, the dandelions of this world that build soil so that future generations of plants and animals may flourish.  It inspired me to write this song, an anthem for the single dandelion that transforms a hopeless landscape into a forest teaming with life and love.
