The theme of the song was created on Autumn 2012 and since then this song has haunted me. It was finally the proper time to finish it. This song has the same elements as The Hauntings EP, but it lives in it's own realm, so I decided to release it as a single.

As with on all of my music, After Ritual is not constructed upon the rules of music theory but rather channeled from some place unknown via improvisation, by being close to the true inspiration, with a minimal amount of calculations.

The Phileasson Saga is a fantasy book series written by Bernhard Hennen and Robert Corvus set in the fictional world of Aventurien. 
One of the main characters, a nordic sailor namend Asleif Phileasson - also known as the "Foggwulf" -  and his crew, go on a perilous journey to some of the most dangerous and unknown regions of Aventurien.

I'm a german musician/composer and my main focus are cinematic orchestral tracks.

I grew up with bands like Depeche Mode, Duran Duran, Vangelis or Jean-Michel Jarre and started playing the keyboard when i was a teenager, at first just replaying some of the tunes i liked. Later i did some simple compositions of electronic/synthesizer music.
But movie scores have always been a great passion of mine. Composers like John Williams, Jerry Goldsmith, James Horner or Alan Silvestri had a great impact on me. I started to compose cinematic themes with an old yamaha keyboard back then.
With advancing technology and sample libraries getting more and more sophisticated, i finally got the tools to bring all those ideas to another level.
I dived deeper into things like composition and orchestration and i honestly think, i will never stop learning. :)
