 Our next compilation tune comes from super talented Santa Cruz-based producer G Jones.
known for his unconventional and unique take on experimental future bass/hip hop beats as well as his energetic and vibrant live sets,  G Jones has made quite the name for himself. Since his 2012 LP "Mirage" on the like-minded forward-thinking label Saturate, G Jones has been nonstop touring, releasing EPs, collaborations and remixes all while single-handedly redefining the west coast bass sound. His tune "Terminal 3" is a more melodic and dreamy take on his style. It maintains the G Jones swagger while seamlessly fitting the stylized, harmonic mood of Foundations Recordings. Give it a listen, favorite or repost. Terminal 3, along with the other 11 compilation tunes will be available in August through Foundations Recordings.

Willi Williams, original roots reggae music foundation artist, known for his beloved anthem,“Armagideon Time” (attached), will launch his new album in Jamaica at Bleu Essence, Tuesday, June 11, 2013.  The album, “Reggae Can’t Done,” includes the hit entitled  "One More" & instrumental “Stepping Out” with world famous jazz trumpeter, Herb Alpert.  This especially is a real treat for the ears.  Over the years, Williams formed a close association with legendary keyboard player, Jackie Mittoo, who contributed significantly to his Messenger Man album released in 1978.  Since then he has been consistent with at least 13 albums in his discography.       

Interestingly, Everyday Sunshine, a song from Reggae Can't Done, was co-written by keyboardist/arranger Jackie Mittoo and Tony Stine, founder of YAHBA.
"This work of art could not have been released at a better time," Stine said about the song in a press release.
Everyday Sunshine was recorded at RCA Studio in Toronto, Canada in 1975.
Another track of note is Stepping Out which was done with world-famous trumpeter Herb Alpert of Tijuana Brass fame.
The St Ann-born Williams has lived in Canada since 1974. He began recording in the late 1960s but did not get the big breakthrough until recording Armagideon Time for Dodd's Studio One.
The apocalyptic song has been sampled several times by dancehall and hip hop acts.
