Ola (she/her), originally from Poland, is a Meanjin-based DJ & curator of Eterna.
With years of experience in the electronic music scene (first as a dancefloor enthusiast, then as a DJ), Ola has developed a deep understanding and appreciation for a wide range of music styles, spanning across ambient, dub, bass, techno and psy, just to name a few. Whether it's through the use of atmospheric soundscapes or heavy basslines, she strives to take listeners on a journey through sound and emotion.

the third installment to our series comes from the mind of an all-round lovely human, delightfully talented producer and selector, Hüda!

Weaving between dark breaks and atmospheric slow burners, Eora-based Hüda draws elements from the various facets of the underground electronic scene; from warehouse party dance floors to headphone-engulfed, introspective listening experiences.

Debuting in 2020 on Beats Of No Nation’s ‘Dance Ideas Vol. 6’, Hüda has garnished support from local tastemakers Andy Garvey, Pjenne & Millu, Body Promise, Human Movement, as well as receiving air time on community radio in Sydney and Melbourne. He has also released music alongside some of the country’s finest, having been included on compilations with Pure Space and Companion, as well as solo releases with Digital Music Only and Touch of Loft.

03 - hüda

this red hot fourth addition to our series comes from none other than one of the most talented beans Eora has to offer, Eggplant3

Eggplant3 is an Eora-based artist with a precise ear for crowd movement, who carefully blends tribal drum workouts with dub, bass and dark breaks. Drawing inspiration from sound system and bass culture coming out of the UK as well as a tickle of Afrobeat and Amapiano influence, Jo mashes these grooves and patterns together, guiding the mix between fast and slower bpms throughout the hour.

Jo is also a founding member of Safari Park, a local crew putting on some of the most fun parties in the scene, pushing the boundaries of bass. They also have a monthly @nomadradiofm show!

Recently, having a remix included on Loïcc’s EP out via FAN CLUBⒸ - Jo’s productions reflect this same affinity with pressurised percussion. Some unreleased work can be spotted in and amongst his mixes and Safari Park Shows.

Since captivating the hearts of Meanjin over a year ago, Greer has quickly become a lineup staple. Expanding through the landscape with projects including ambient-focused meditative mix series ‘Take Care’ @take-care-of-each-other , co-hosting 4zzz 102.1FM’s Synesthesia program, and one-half of DJ duo @theyphex-twins , they provide a diverse soundscape to attest to their talent as a DJ. Greer is carving out a path and running full steam ahead.

Hailing from Mulubinba, Lewis Englefield (aka lewis e) emerges as a true luminary of sound, contributing his spectacular performance from the first Semi-Modular Sunday show back in March as the seventh addition to our series.

With an ear attuned to the elusive allure of fickle textures and melodic soundscapes, he beckons his listeners into an enthralling tapestry of auditory artistry. lewis’ performances recently have endured a lot of emotional turmoil, his sets for a recent Troth show and the unique evening that was Cake followed this ideology, but for this mix he decided to inject a fresh twist. Steering away from the familiar, lewis e’s aim is to transport his audience on a journey beyond their sonic boundaries. 
In a bold departure from his usual repertoire, he masterfully weaves a narrative of struggle, infusing ambience with glitchy magnetic tracks that pulsate endlessly with a relentless rhythm.

As pulsating sequences unfold, they dare the listener to embrace the raw realities of existence, evoking an electric tapestry of emotions. Yet, fear not, for this gripping voyage through the ethereal is not without respite. lewis e’s transcendent artistry culminates in a tender denouement, where a soothing massage of sound awaits you.
