For House DJ Gerald King, music is his religion.  When he plays, he loses himself in the music…he SEES the music, the flow from one song or movement to the next, all the while maintaining a steady rhythm at an intense high tempo.
On SoundCloud (under "Gerald Anthony King"), Gerald has uploaded more than 30 mixes, which have received over 12,000 plays thus far.  His fan page on Facebook (under the name "Gerald Anthony") reaches more than 3,500 people.  He is also active in the EDM community of North Carolina on Facebook as well as being part of the Global House Movement on Facebook.
Gerald has been a DJ for a few years, doing parties in Burlington, North Carolina, and the surrounding area, most within a 150-mile radius.  He's also done parties in Atlanta.  His company, Party Rock ENT, handles all sorts of events, hosting parties and just about any kind of social gatherings.  Primarily he plays Tech House, Deep House, and regular House, but his love for Tech House has been intense for more than the last 2 decades.
Long before he got serious about being a DJ, Gerald was attending Club Space in Miami, one of the best clubs in the country, where he could experience some of the world's top DJs.  He also attended the Ultra Music Festival in Miami, Circa 96 in San Francisco, South by Southwest in Texas, Tomorrowland in Atlanta, and EDC in Las Vegas.
From Miami to California to Atlanta, he has seen great artists that made him want to be a great DJ himself.  Although he has been influenced by the likes of Ivano Bellini, Carl Cox, Oscar G, Eddy G, Philip Soren, Danny Tenaglia, Marcus Schultz, Rabbit in the Moon, Tiesto, and many others, his own sounds are all his own – he doesn't try to sound like anyone but himself.  And he's a perfectionist at doing just that.
Born and raised in Miami, Gerald has a diverse background.  His mother, who is from Central America, met his father, who was serving in the U.S. Army.  Gerald later moved to California, and for for 4 years he served in the Marine Corps.  After meeting his future wife and getting married, they moved to her hometown in Burlington, NC.  Since coming to North Carolina, Gerald has re-dedicated himself to his music and DJ work.  What started out years ago as a hobby, playing music in his bedroom, turned into an obsession.  Today, his tools of the trade are a Pioneer DJM 750 Mixer and CDJ 900.  He currently resides in Burlington with his wife and their 3 dogs, and when he's not working on his music and playing gigs, he's an account rep for an anesthesia billing company.
