This is the 2nd Mvt (Moderato cantabile) of my 1st Piano Sonata in A Major. This 2nd Mvt is in the relative 6th, though major key of F# Major. It is a light "singing" style piece, with a simple melody. I would like to dedicate this Sonata to my friend Rohan Puranik. He has been a good friend and kindred spirit to me, since starting my You Tube channel in April of 2017.  Rohan and I are both big fans of art, literature, science, education, knowledge, general enlightenment, and music from the Baroque, Classical, and Romantic periods.

This is the 1st Mvt (Allegro) of my 1st Piano Sonata in A Major. This is actually one of my earlier works, that I composed many years ago. I recently made a few minor changes and edits to this Sonata, before I uploaded it to You Tube. It is more of a Classical Period style of musical work, as many of my compositions are. This is a waltz I composed for my daughter "Angela," from a series of six Piano Waltzes I composed for the women in my family. The "feel" of this piece is a little mixture of a Waltz and a Nocturne. Angela's Waltz In Db (Piano) Gerald Wilhelm Braden

This is a waltz I composed for my Aunt Ingrid in Vienna, who is my Mother Helga's sister. It has a traditional Viennese waltz in the center, though I used more of a modern European tonality and feel in the slower intro, marked "maestoso." Following the intro are four short sections marked "misterioso,"  "tenebroso" (gloomy),  "dolce" (sweet), and finally "caloroso" (warmly), to set up the happier and faster upcoming waltz. This is the fourth waltz in a series of piano waltzes that I composed with love and respect for the women in my family. If anyone is interested in performing any of my works live, please contact me. Ingrid's Waltz In Ab (Piano) Gerald Wilhelm Braden

This is a short melancholy waltz I composed for my beautiful sister Kathy, that passed away from cancer in 2000. Kathy was not only my sister, she was one of my best friends. She could light up a room with her smile and laughter, and had a wonderful personality and soul. If you look at her photo above, you will see that she had the same smile and twinkle in her eyes when she was 50, as when she was a little girl. When I was younger, I always envisioned us as a couple of older gray haired people one day, sitting together, playing cards, and laughing about our family and youth together. Life can be short, so love your family and friends, and enjoy their company while we are here!

My Autumn Poem begins softly with the warmth of the Summers end, and moves forward to the colors and emotions of the changing leaves and colors, Autumn storms, and the different emotions we all feel during the changes of this season. As the warmth, remaining flowers and tree leaves, and singing birds continue to fade away to the cold, we are starting to spend more time in the warmth of our homes. In the center of this work, I composed a short Habanera, to convey the warmth of sharing our time together in the warmth of our homes with our family and friends, as with Thanksgiving. For the Finale, we return to a more joyous and uplifting mood, as we prepare for the holiday season of Christmas and New Years. A note to my musical friends and fans: My uploaded orchestral and chamber music works are  Midi Mp3 mixes played from my fully notated scores, using sampled instruments. Although these recordings are fine for a good listening "reference," they will not truly shine until they are performed live by a good conductor and professional musicians. There are simply to many dynamics, articulations, tempo changes, and human emotion in these scores for a computer to playback realistically.
