The glass was half empty last night it would seem
But then something occurred and made it seem like a dream
This could go either way thought my friends on the scene
But then one man delivered the impossible dream

He stepped onto the stage and I thought here comes the rage
Up at the empty balcony and the money not made
He started coming to terms with his late coming of age
And then that ancient theatre, it had something to say

Those old Rolling Stones had stepped on to that stage
Half a century before at the prime of their age
And who would have thought that the magic would stay
And one man would deliver one of his best to this day

Show their die-hard dedication to a man misunderstood

When that theatre half empty became a theatre half full
