ARTY DJ Mix August 2017

Here it is.  The live recording from my all vinyl acid set at Even Furthur.  It's been over 10 years since I've played on turntables.  Some rough spots here n there but overall I'm happy how it turned out.  The set wasnt planned and I tried to speed mix to get in as many records as possible.   I forgot how much focus and concentration it took.  I forgot the feeling of satisfaction when I did nail a mix and heard the people respond.  It was exhilarating!  Mixing vinyl from the 90s is tricky but those challenges are what makes it so much fun.  

  Even Furthur brought back all those wonderful memories and emotions.  There was no better event in the US to have played those records.  And speaking of the records, many I selected were the ones I heard on Terry Mullan mixtapes.  TBH, this set was equally a tribute to Terry as much as it was to the glory days.  Terry was my biggest influence as a DJ and his mixtapes were my bible.  S/O Jared for recording the set and special thanks to Kurt and the amazing crew at Drop Bass Network for taking a chance on an "EDM" guy to play their iconic midwest techno festival.

ZHU's Blacklizt Surprise Set on the Do LaB Stage Weekend One 2018

My set from Laserface San Francisco at the Bill Graham Civic to an incredible 8,500 strong crowd back in March.

Please note, I had to rip a few tracks out because they're on major labels who won't allow them on Soundcloud, so that's why this set is 15 mins shorter than my set on the night... so if you hear any dodgy bits, that's why. otherwise, I really enjoyed this set so figured it was worth sharing.
