Antonys Epoch - Linen Tongued (Instrumental Go For It Mix)

As I rested there, in the ages old stone bunker, a tune came into my mind. The more I tried to concentrate on the melody, the more distorted and distant it sounded. 

When I came to again, hours had passed. There was still a ringing of music in my ears, but the tune was now entirely different. Chilling like the rain. Redolent of ancient forces.

Signal Intrusion

"I must study this further. I'll return with the proper tools."

On my return I sat in the centre of the building, the instrument on the floor in front of me. It took a while to start, but once the stones started vibrating the instrument, the sounds it produced took my away from myself immediately. 

I don't know how long I sat there. I can't remember when the instrument caught fire, but the music continued thrumming from its broken shell for many hours. 

I have dabbled in a lost art. I fear what could happen if I repeat the experiment.

Communing With The Stone

The beat which drives you further down into the sofa. Looking down and inwards, but seeing so far up and outwards.

I have returned to the singing stones. A learned associate suggested adding a Bauxite crystal matrix into the signal chain. This had the effect of increasing the feedback throughput of the stone sound. It appears that the Bauxite acts as a transducer, bouncing the signal through the stone again, producing greater modulation of tones, although with a sharper timbre, no doubt due to the Aluminium content of the Bauxite

The experiment consists of two parts. In the first, the Bauxite matrix is connected in series to the rest of the chain; for the second. it is running in parallel, functioning as a loopback device.

Turn the robot off.  Its eyes fade, its systems shut down. 

I'm so fucking ill, I can only concentrate on one melody at a time.

The photo is a monk protected by a grating, at St Davids Cathedral. He looks bemused about the whole affair.

Deactivated

First track using Lemur. Fucking awesome software for writing envelopes. Interestingly, pretty much none of the modulation from Lemur ended up in the final mix except the swelling and detuning of the main synth. Great for productivity though.

Started working with Bitwig and proper monitors. Made this wiggly pile of bits.

Wiggle Ya Bits

Guitar cover of Aisatsana by Aphex Twin, from Syro. 

Attempted to replicate the mixed up phased sound from the version of Aisatsana played at the Barbican. In that version, the Disklavier playing the song was suspended on a pendulum, creating an ethereal tail on the sound which I've always wanted to try and recreate.
