RJ - Watch What You Say

This track is a no-holds-barred clap-back aimed at a former partner who’s playing both victim and villain. From the opening lines (“You mad? Stay mad…”) the narrator lays out the scene: this woman “popped up uninvited” after cheating, tries to rewrite the story online, and even pretends to be a devoted mom—yet her actions prove otherwise. The first verse establishes the narrator as the new “queen” of the household, someone who’s stepped in to stabilize what the other fractured, and won’t tolerate any drama or false narratives.

The pre-chorus and hook lean into a catchy, almost chant-like condemnation—“Girl, you messy”—calling out her hypocrisy, her missed visits with her child, and her relentless social-media posturing. The second verse doubles down on receipts: accusing her of juggling multiple lovers, staging court claims of stalking, and projecting her own guilt onto the narrator. By the bridge, the tone is almost gleeful: “Go post another filter, ’cause real life ain’t cute.” Overall, the song is equal parts sassy and righteous—setting firm boundaries, exposing lies, and celebrating the narrator’s own composure (“unbothered, blessed”) in contrast to the other woman’s chaos.
