"Cry Cry Cry" was written and performed by singer/song writer, Johnny Cash (this is a clip of German Cash covering the song). Originally released in 1955 the song's early success led to a featured spot on the Louisiana Hayride Tour and kicked off Johnny Cash's career in the process.

Just a clip playing on Hozier's "Work Song" in the style of Johnny Cash. Hozier (in turn) borrowed from Cash's "Ain't no Grave" lyrics when he wrote this song. What would a Johnny Cash cover of the song sound like? Here's to German Cash's first shot at it.

Merry Christmas to you and your mommas: a gritty but heartfelt scratch track by "German Cash" (aka Andreas). "Blue Christmas" (written by Billy Hayes and Jay W. Johnson: performed here a bit like Presley & Cash rolled into one). I recorded it for my mom in Germany (as I couldn't make it there for the Holidays this year). Did it under the typical Xmas-deadline pressure, so excuse the imperfection). If you're in the same blue, blue predicament at this special time of year send-to (or share-with) that most important person you call mom!

"Any Old Wind That Blows" is a song recorded by American country music artist Johnny Cash. It was released in November 1972 as the third single from his album Any Old Wind That Blows. The song peaked at number 3 on the Billboard Hot Country Singles chart. It also reached number 1 on the RPM Country Tracks chart in Canada. The song was written by Dick Feller (this is the full track of a rough cover by German Cash).

"Big River" is a song written and originally recorded by Johnny Cash. Released as a single by Sun Records in 1958, it went as high as number 4 on the Billboard country music charts and stayed on the charts for 14 weeks. This is the full track of my rough cover of the song (and part of 'character development' for my current project's protagonist "German Cash").

I envision my annual benefit concert to be a genre spanning celebration of American music. It is to range perhaps, from our natives' tribal chants and the Europeans' ditties at the fount of country music, to the big band and swing era that gave us vocal ikons like Sinatra. And, from the uplifting African spirituals that resonate at the foundation of our international nation, to the exponential echo from Memphis--inseparable from the march of liberty as it continues today. So, when the great John Lennon once claimed that "before Elvis there was nothing" he would have been more accurate if he had said "Elvis embodied the fusion of everything" ... And if we credit Elvis with that, we must also acknowledge that it was Johnny Cash whose stretching of musical boundaries embraced an early version of the talk-song we call rap. And it is rap (or hip hop) that more than any other genre combines the euphoric stimulation of music with the communicative impact of poetry. Yes, 'these things' will continue to change as the next generation understands them better than some would have it. Here's a sample clip from the up and coming "Lost Ones" and their work-in-progress single "Bring it Back" (produced by my son Andre Wallach, vocal mixing by Jaz Fosdick, words and vocals: Antonio Nakayama and Andre Wallach). The group will be featured in the 'contemporary act' of my concert's repertoire (TBA).
