[13/06/2025] Protecting Our Youth from the Traps of Fornication - By Abu Khadeejah ‘Abdul Wāḥid حفظه الله. Khuṭbah at Masjid As-Sunnah An-Nabawiyyah, Aston, Birmingham, UK.

Some points discussed during this Khuṭbah:

– The trials that the youth face from desires.
– Indoctrination that girls and boys are the same.
– Fitnah of women are a great trial.
– Allah says: {Beautified for men is the love of things they covet; women, children, much of gold and silver (wealth), branded beautiful horses, cattle and well-tilled land} [Surah Āl-Imrān: 3:14].
– Allah’s Messenger ‎ﷺ warned the youth regarding the fitnah of women.
– The reality of these tests are from Allah and the boundaries that are set by Allah.
– Allah says: {Do not approach fornication for indeed it is an immorality and an evil way} [Surah Isrā: 17:32].
– Harms of relatives and in laws mixing with each other.
– Hadīth: First fitnah to strike Bani Israil was the women.
– Marriage in Islam is easy in order to stay away from fornication.
– Hadīth encouraging the youth to get married.
– The steps that the youth should take who is unable to get married.
– The harms of preventing the youth to get married.
– Look towards the Sunnah when seeking a wife and husband.
– Remain steadfast and patient upon the modern trials.
– Hadīth showing that Paradise is for those that protect themselves from immorality and lewd behaviour.
– Punishment for fornication.
– Obligation for men and women to dress modestly.
– The reward for being obedient to Allah and staying from fornication.
– Statement of Qadi Iyad highlighting the reward of a man who is patient in the face of fornication.
