[14/03/2025] Reflections Upon Reaching the Middle of Ramaḍān - By Abu 'Inaayah Seif حفظه الله. Masjid As-Sunnah An-Nabawiyyah, Aston, Birmingham, UK.

Some points discussed during this short reminder:

- Taking a moment of reflection to ask ourselves if we have gained nearness to Allāh and achieved the objective of this blessed month.

- A statement from Ibn al-Jawzī (رحمه الله) that encapsulates the tremendous virtue of Ramaḍān.

- The necessity of striving even harder in the second part of Ramaḍān.

- Evaluating our connection with the Book of Allāh.

- Ibn al-Qayyim (رحمه الله) on the meaning of هُدًى لِّلنَّاسِ in the verse, “The month of Ramaḍān in which was revealed the Qur’ān, a guidance for mankind and clear proofs for the guidance and the criterion…” [Sūrah al-Baqarah 2:185]

-  Imām as-Sa’dī (رحمه الله) on the seal/lock that is placed upon the hearts.

- The best cure for the hearts.

- A du’ā taught to us by the Prophet ﷺ that removes sadness and grief.
