- His acceptance of peace, and the relinquishing of his position. 
- The ḥadīth of the Messenger ﷺ that foretold of al-Ḥasan rectifying between two great Muslim armies. 
- Al-Ḥasan’s address to the people when he relinquished his position to Mu’āwiyah.
- The date al-Ḥasan handed over leadership to Mu’āwiyah, the age of Mu’āwiyah, and the duration of al-Ḥasan’s khilāfah.
