Serialism Records kicks off the new year by welcoming back Italo-Australian artist August Artier after his 'Shadows' EP in 2021. With releases on labels like RAWAX and 20/20 Vision, the Barcelona-based artist is now dropping the entitled 'Lo-Fi Stories' EP, which also features two remixes by Cali Lanauze and Carlo Gambino

The three originals perfectly represent the current artist's sonorities, as he perfectly blends elements of house, techno, and breakbeat with a pinch of minimal flavour. Some ethnic vocals, rolling percussive loops, and mysterious, evanescent synths will guide you throughout a journey, whether it will be on the dancefloor or not. 

To make this extra special, Italian UK export Carlo Gambino (Real Tone, Snatch!) joins our family for the first time, providing his unique old-school, deep house touch to the second original. Rolling off the package, label regular and Opulence boss Cali Lanauze brings his warm, Caribbean vibes to 'Lo-Fi Stories 03' for an intriguing and catchy groovy remix.

Recorded live as the closing set for MDK's 3-year anniversary at Module in Copenhagen, Denmark.

Founder and co-owner of “MDK” project since 2021, Geroge likes to engage his audience by having sets with a storytelling nature, strong and groovy basslines, crispy claps and cheeky percussions, complimented by an intricate background sound that controls the mood he wants to pursue. He is interested in finding the groove with his music and he is working mostly with underground music, including minimal house, house, breakbeat, electro, minimal techno, rominimal, minimal acid and acid house.

Starting his career in 2018, Geroge had the chance to be part of impressive lineups and special events, sharing decks with artists like Cap, Ada Kaleh, ERIS, Nima Gorji, Janeret, Sublee, Cristi Cons, Suciu, Lizz, Searcher, Zenk, Leanca and many more. In the end of 2020, he created the groups “Minimal Denmark” and “Copenhagen Minimal Events” in order to start spreading the love for the music that he loved and then developed the project “MDK” which is daily pushing forward the underground music scene in Copenhagen, Denmark and other fine places in Europe through events and different activities.

Radiobar’s next invitee does not need much of an introduction.

Discobar’s first encounter with him was in a warehouse party in Brooklyn two years back, where his classy technique and medley of musical maestroism shone through like the sunrays beaming down on his afterhours set proving himself against the New York heavyweights as a true artist in the making.  

Currently based in Copenhagen his time is kept occupied by running his label Concealed Sounds that featured the sounds of Thomas Melchior recently ; as well as producing his own work, having releases on Minibar, Aeternum and Subsequent to name a few.

Born in ’93 and raised in Romania, now established in Denmark, Geroge discovered his passion for minimal in 2012, after starting to attend a lot of underground parties in Bucharest and a couple of festivals in Romania. Inspired by artists like Ion Ludwig, Petre Inspirescu, Priku, Takashi Himeoka, Barac, Herodot and Afriqua, he started playing music in 2018 and got better with every set while creating interesting and various vibes. He likes to engage his audience by having mixes with a storytelling nature, strong and groovy basslines, crispy claps and an intricate background sound that controls the mood he wants to pursue

Geroge is interested in finding the groove with his music and he is working mostly with Minimal Techno, Micro House, Acid House and Breakbeat. Among the sets for events or different labels podcasts, he likes to set up a specific mood while playing music and for this reason he is constantly developing his podcast series like GRV (Groove Series), TRP (Trip Series) and soon to appear, DRK (Dark Series).

He played music at underground events in Romania and at one of the editions of Pe Coclauri festivals where he is also a volunteer. Since he moved to Denmark in 2020, he hosted multiple private events and was invited to play music in Copenhagen, the sets being available to listen on his SoundCloud profile. In the end of 2020, he created the group “Minimal Denmark” in order to start spreading the love for the music that he loved and then developed, together with two partners, the project “MDKrom” which focuses on organizing events in different locations in Copenhagen, Denmark.
