This element of the music reaches into the darker side of Gerry Cooper’s brain. Inspired by artists such as Immortal Technique, Royce Da 5’9”, and the Psychopathic/ MNE family. Shotgun Preacher write about regrets, anxiety, depression, the pharmaceutical epidemic, mental illness and redemption; using dark metaphors at time to put a spotlight on the darker side of humanity.
