She asked the man who rarely spoke
Tacking love is tough in this modern day ocean when the world is truly woke
They started out at the slippery river bed 
3 hours to climb to the crest
The mountain stands alone and lovers are possessed

The mountain comes with it's own love stories and legends from other days
There's the saga of the big elm tree lovers
French soldiers and local maids
There was a wedding at the top during ante bellum 
A brass band once played at the crest
