Featuring its own principals as soloists, ROCO’s season three Conductorless! concert featured Enescu's Decet for Winds, Holst's St. Paul's Suite, and Prokofiev's Classical Symphony, op. 25. The concert was performed on February 2, 2008, at The Church of St. John the Divine, Houston, TX.

The Gershwin Quintet is an italian female ensemble composed of a saxophone quartet (soprano, alto, tenor and baritone saxophones) and piano and it is in a class by itself.
This instrumental composition offers a variety of tone, dynamic and expressive possibilities and this lets the quintet play orchestral arrangements. As it is clear by the name of the quintet, the group showed high interest in the American Composer George Gershwin, playing the famous “Rhapsody in Blue” and other of his masterpieces. The programme includes also other beguiling atmospheres which convey to the public the warmth of the Argentinean Tango and Greek dances.
