Taking over our Select 342 this week is A.M.I.R.A, hailing from Casablanca, Morocco. She is known for exploring a variety of techno sub-genres, weaving groovy and hypnotic beats into her sets, which she also showcases in her new podcast series Return to Groove. 

Her Select set is a techno mix driven by deep basslines and featuring rhythmic claps, crisp drum patterns and hypnotic vocal loops, over minimal melodies. The set features tracks like ‘Seeds of Distrust’ by Chlär, and ‘Oddbox’ by A.Morgan, and ‘Speed Dial’ by Corium.

Venezuela’s Confidential Recipe & Scottish artist Harvey McKay come back to Radio Slave’s techno-leaning RSPX offshoot with their first collaboration, the ‘Bad Man’ EP, arriving 18th July 2025. The release, drawing inspiration from the Chicagoan Dance Mania label, opens with the title track, a syncopated techno slammer driven by booming kicks, fizzing hi-hats, and up vocal chops. Fragmented samples and textured stabs inject raw energy, building tension before the drop hits hard.

Going second, ‘Move It’ is a relentless deep techno cut with rolling bass, sonar-like synth pulses, and jacked-up percussion, engineered for maximum effect on the dancefloor, already supported by Mark Broom, Tasha & Elisa Bee.

Confidential Recipe fuses rave, techno, electro, and breaks with razor-sharp precision – a sound he’s honed over more than a decade through his Kontra imprint and standout releases on Rekids and its RSPX sublabel. Scottish producer Harvey McKay, known for his dark, driving techno, joined the RSPX roster in 2024 with his ‘DV8’ EP, adding to a catalogue that includes Phantasy Sound, Bek Audio, and Cocoon, with his productions having won consistent support from notable artists such as Laurent Garnier, DJ Bone, Carista, and Luke Slater.

The EP includes a remix of "Waiting V2" by Berlin-based producer, DJ and label owner Blue Hour, known for fusing elements of Acid Techno, Breakbeat, and 90s Rave. His reinterpretation expands the original into new territory while staying grounded in the raw, rhythmic drive both artists share.

She has played alongside artists such as Rødhåd, Peter Van Hoesen, Dino Sabatini, Nastia Reigel, Quelza, and many more.
Her recent highlights include a closing set at the iconic Elements night at about:blank (Berlin), performances at Distillery (Leipzig), Slip Club (Cyprus), and the Sunny Side Festival, curated by the Desert Society collective and with much more on the horizon.
