"Wannabe" is the Mini-Lp's most successful track receiving chart recognition on one of the earliest national urban music charts - CHEER Music Pool in May 1988 in 5th spot against now Hip Hop legends; Eric B & Rakhim, Kool Moe Dee, Boogie Down Productions, Grandmaster Flash and ICE T w/ Big Daddy Kane. Featuring: MC Shadow and MC B (aka B-Kool, Carlito) on lead vocals. The song was also played in England's "Top of the Pop's".

The Get Loose Crew formed in the early 1980’s. They were the first Canadian Hip-Hop group to independently produce a mini-LP and the first to achieve international sales under their own label East Park Productions. They received chart recognition on one of the earliest national urban music charts in May 1988, in 5th spot against notable legends in the genre. Get Loose Crew are identified as prominent members of Toronto’s Hip-Hop history and the history of Canada’s culture industries and were entered into the Canadian Museum of Music in 2020.
The group was formed by D.J Jel (Chris Jackson), Rapper Kory Neely aka MC Shadow and Len Grant-Stuart aka Mix-Master Len in Toronto, Ontario, Canada 1987. The Get Loose Crew took on additional rapper MC B (Carl Badwa), of later fame known as B-Kool who joined the band prior to the release of their album in 1988.

Despite success on local urban music charts, being featured on television in Canada and radio airplay in the United States the group did not release a follow up project. They disbanded in 1990 with members independently making contributions within the music industry with Badwa (controversially) receiving the first JUNO award for rap music in Canadian music history under the moniker B-Kool.
