Paris-based duo Alex H. and Adrian C ended last year on a high with ‘Journey’, a super stylish new album on Kindisch in December. It was full of deep, spiritual, emotional sounds and is now followed up with a trio of top singles. Between this pair they have studied filmmaking in NYC and violin and piano at the Conservatory of Paris and travel the world picking up disparate influences and inspiration from nature. Growing up in London meant Rockin Moroccin was always surrounded by music. He soon started working at the drum & bass record store Lucky Spin while playing house parties and showcasing his early love of 80's electro. Over the last 15 years in the game, he's played all over Europe and made a big mark on Ibiza playing at HEART as well as Amnesia's Vagabundos night. His music is aimed at the dance floor and draws on new disco, melodic, tribal and percussive styles.

This new single is defined by its superb vocal, a classic house music top line that takes on an all-new soul perspective here. It is a silky smooth affair with an almost choral edge. The drums are warm and the percussion organic and bubbly, with sombre piano chords draped over the groove to help make this one a truly tender tune.

Get Physical strides into its 21st year with a reissue of one of its most iconic tunes. M.A.N.D.Y. vs Booka Shade's 'Body Language' has been remastered for the occasion and will be available on vinyl, as well as digitally and on streaming platforms for the first time ever, with new remixes from HOSH and Patrice Bäumel. 

M.A.N.D.Y. aka Patrick Bodmer and Philipp Jung, and Booka Shade, aka Walter Merziger and Arno Kammermeier, are Get Physical co-founders alongside DJ T., and 'Body Language' is one of the label's, as well as dance music's, biggest ever tunes. Released in 2005, it defined an entire generation of house music and spawned myriad copycats in its wake as well as making household names of the artists behind it. It became an instant classic that worked as well in cosy clubs as it did on festival main stages and it has remained an ever-green house anthem. The influential track has been sampled many times over the years but nothing beats the original. 

The chunky house drums still sound from the future today, with fleshy hits and warming bass. What makes it such a standout track, though, is the gorgeous melodic hook that rides up and down the scale. Those soft focus notes are full of subtle but playful soul that never fails to unify a crowd, bring smiles to faces, and get hands in the air. 

The first to remix is acclaimed German artist Patrice Bäumel. He is a master of stylish and deep house and techno with expressive synth work on labels like Kompakt and his own HALO. His superb version is a complete overhaul with deeper drums and a sense of late-night tension that is released in glorious fashion when the iconic melody comes in. It's the sort of tune that is suited to 4 am dance floors and will take things to the next level. The second remix comes from fellow German HOSH. For many years a core part of the Diynamic family he is also the founder of the fryhide imprint and an assured underground talent. He layers in some fresh and airy breakbeats to power along an expansive remix. After a long and atmospheric build with plenty of cosmic synth work, the original melody arrives during a breakdown and then plays out over the suspensory grooves. 

This is a superb package that brings a widely loved favourite back to the fore with contemporary remixes and a fresh remaster.

Few tracks in electronic music history carry the weight of M.A.N.D.Y. vs Booka Shade’s ‘Body Language’. First released in 2005, the track not only defined the early identity of Get Physical Music but also lent its name to the label’s long-running and iconic compilation series. Nearly two decades on, the piece remains one of the most recognizable and influential house tracks ever created, a genuine evergreen anthem.

Now, Dutch producer Helsloot steps forward with a fresh remix as part of his upcoming Body Language Vol. 27 compilation, which drops November 14, 2025. This new version marks the fourth single taken from the campaign and sees Helsloot reinterpret one of the label’s crown jewels with sophistication and vision.

His rework carefully reframes the iconic bassline, twisting it into a new harmonic context and surrounding it with cinematic chord layers. London artist N1NJA, recently spotlighted by Beatport as an emerging artist on their radar, joins forces with acclaimed South African vocalist Nana Atta for their powerful new Afro Tech single “Umusa,” out on Get Physical on 12th December. 

“Umusa,” meaning grace, is the product of a rare moment of universal symbiosis. N1NJA had long admired Nana Atta’s voice, and when Grammy-winning artist Zakes Bantwini introduced them, the chemistry was immediate. They began collaborating remotely, but their bond deepened months later when they finally met in South Africa through N1NJA’s work with IMS and Beatport.

“The moment Nana walked in, there was an instant sense of sisterhood,” N1NJA recalls. “She had just returned from a spiritual mission in her local village, and she radiated a very peaceful yet deeply protective energy.” 

During that visit, Nana Atta gravitated towards one particular sketch on N1NJA’s laptop, an untitled piece that would later become Umusa.  

Press play and the track opens with emotionally charged synth lines, carrying  a sense of urgency yet filled with hope. Delicate, shimmering snares dance over the bassline, grounding the emotion as Nana Atta’s unmistakable voice soars in equal parts lament,  passion and power. She sings in Zulu:

Sathenjiswa umusa nothando, ngeke kuhlale kunjena. Noma kwehlela nokwenyuka, ngeke kuhlale kunjena (We were promised grace and love - it won’t always be this way. Through the ups and downs, things will always get better.)

In a moment of extraordinary synchronicity, the very next day, the duo performed Umusa live at Constitution Hill in Johannesburg - the historic site where Nelson Mandela and Mahatma Gandhi were once imprisoned, during the IMS Connect event hosted by Beatport. Two women, performing a song about resilience and transformation, at a place forever marked by struggle and liberation. 

Exactly one year after the stars first aligned, “Umusa” arrives as more than a release - it is a message and a testament to resilience, resistance and renewal, landing fresh in the wake of both artists stepping into a new chapter with the launch of their own labels.

Italian DJ and producer Cioz has become a real fixture of the scene over the last five years. Hailing from Bergamo he has dropped a series of releases on labels including Crosstown Rebels, Monaberry and Get Physical Music, picking up critical acclaim for his own take on house music. 2021 will see him take the reins of the much lauded Body Language series, joining previous compiler such as Dixon, DJ Hell, Modeselektor and many many more.
