It's that time of year again and ADE is right around the corner, which means Get Physical has called upon the likes of Brett Johnson, Mandy, Tim Green, Fabio Giannelli and more to bring you a bevy of unreleased tunes that have made for a very moody, very get-the-party-started kind of soundtrack to prepare for our favorite dance conference of the year. This one's mixed by the hard-rocking, genre-shunning Bryan Kessler, whose own sharp, cinematic contribution is a highlight of the mix and a fitting introduction to Get Physical's ADE event, to be held in an old theatre in the heart of Amsterdam. We'll be featuring Chicago's DJ Pierre as guest of honor, along with some GP all-stars like M.A.N.D.Y., German Brigante and Kessler himself.

After his very successful remix of ‘Slip Away’ on Noir Music we are extremely delighted to release this incredible EP from Olivier Giacomotto. Paris based Giacomotto is no new name to the scene but he has hit a sweet spot on Noir Music with his recent productions and this ‘Postgalactic’ EP might be his best effort to date. All four tracks move in the same universe but show Giacomotto from melodic to the more minimal sound. It’s been ages since we've heard such a solid effort from one artist and we have been all smiles here since Giacomotto decided to shower Noir Music with his great productions. No more praising words; let the music do the talking.

Hailing from Kiel in the very North of Germany Rangø steps up to present his debut on Bondage-Music. His 'No Marble'' EP comes with 3 great originals, delivering distinctive grooves and dreamy sequences. 'Nine to Five'' is the first song on the EP, which takes the listener on a journey through space. Dubby Shots, hovering pads and accented drum sounds melt together into a perfect mix. With the title track of the EP, Rang had chosen a more powerful approach. With a crispy chord sequence playing over a rolling bassline and memorable synth shots, this one is designed to bring some fresh air to the dancefloor. Last but not least the closing track Panorama starts off with a groovy percussion-line followed by a gliding synth, which builts up the tension until the bass drops and everyone is going crazy. This one is designed for peak time hours.

Citizenn is the moniker of London (via Nottingham) based artist Laurence B. Taking his name from a passing visual reference in the Manga film Akira Citizenn originally arrived via releases on MadTech, the label owned by New Jersey house don Kerri Chandler. Within a year, after singles on Waze & Odyssey’s Street Tracks, 20/20 Vision as well as on the label extension of Love Fever, his favourite underground party, Citizenn had been named DJ Magazine’s Breakthrough DJ of 2013. 

As the musical journey continued, 6 am stints at Berlin's infamous Panorama Bar and a globe-trotting diary taking him from Japan, Tulum, Kiev and everywhere in between, he distilled all these new experiences into his debut LP on Damian Lazarus’s ever-influential Crosstown Rebels imprint. The album entitled 'Human Interface' dealt with themes of human intersectionality with our mechanical counterparts through a tapestry of the tightly wound house and techno influenced an EP, the records receiving national radio play and praise from his peers. Citizenn has been a mainstay at popular Ibiza hotspots such as DC10, Blue Marlin and Sankeys for the quickly growing Abode brand of which he has also released with.

Citizenn has found a clarity of vision within the circus that is life as a successful musician.

Rydim is a mystery. Well, partly… One thing that isn’t a mystery is the high level of acid house authenticity at play here. Dark, heads-down strobe light seduction with the focus squared firmly on the soul of the dance. 

‘FOMO’ lives up to its name thanks to some ominous reese craft. Purring savagely throughout the track, leaving space for the sinewy 303s to dance wildly, it sucks you right in and spits you back out into the lasers at speed. Miss it, miss out. 

Don’t miss either Johannes Albert’s remix or the Bass Tool either; the former maintains the acid but re-shapes the bass into a warmer vibe while the latter strips everything back to that growing, heated bassline. Both will leave everyone in the house happy… 

Finally we have ‘Fairlight’. A homage to the mother of all samplers? That’s another mystery to solve. But we do know it’s another beauty from Ridym; naked beats and bass with crucial pads woven in for optimum breath-takes, every rush any dancer has ever felt since the 80s is saluted and celebrated right here. The label has always stayed true to its house roots, but with a rich array of influences taken from the worlds of disco, deep, tech and melodic house. Along the way, Get Physical´s core artists have been joined by red hot new talents including Alinka, Thandi Draai, PAUZA, Yulia Niko, Birds Of Mind, CIOZ and Monkey Safari.
