all the way to Berlin, where he’s now sound engineer at Blackhead Studios in
the city. You might know him from his early days as one half of Johnwaynes, or
from his solo releases on Diynamic, Moodmusic, and Disco Halal as well as
releases on his very own Eastern Standard imprint.

He’s just dropped a single called “Universo Parallelo” with Gianet last month
and has a new slated for November, on the very same Disco Halal.

South African Thor Rixon’s latest single—taken from his new album on Get Physical—now gets two more remixes by Flow & Zeo having already got some excellent treatment from Stimming.

Flow & Zeo started out in music in 1999 and have been a vital partnership for the last decade. They hail from Brazil and have a real sense of charisma that always colours their music. As well as being big names in Latin America they have played huge events like Creamfields and Love Parade and hooked up with labels like Hotfingers and Kling Klong. They also promote their own events and make immersive film soundtracks so have a great grasp of all aspects of dance music and put that into their essential tracks.

They flip ‘He Held Him Close’ into a spine-tinglingly deep, intoxicating track with mysterious melodies. Gentle drums and curious chords as well as filtered vocals all make it a hugely original rack and one that cast a real spell on you. Then comes a Dub Mix that is stripped of the vocal but that allows the starry melodies and bendy synths to have even more of an effect as they sink you deep into the groove.

These are two more standout versions of the original and are sure to provide plenty of real moments in the club this autumn.

Our second offering of the day is a summer-ready remix of Bahama Soul Club’s John Lee Hooker sampling "Never Roam No More", by producer & DJ, Smoove.  Taken from their forthcoming album, 'Bohemia After Dawn', released on July 17 via Buyu Records.

Now based in Algarve Portugal, German combo Bahama Soul Club has become internationally recognized for its laidback and uber cool vibe blending tropical rhythms with jazz and electronic sounds. Following a period of silence, in 2018 they digitally released what would be the first track from their new album, single "Never Roam No More" that uses excerpts of a 1946 recording of John Lee Hooker's "My First Wife Left Me".

Fast forward 2 years and new album "Bohemia After Dawn" is ready to drop worldwide on Buyu Records on July 17th with 10-sunsoaked songs and 2 remixes, including a drum-heavy dancefloor version of "Never Roam No More" by super producer and DJ Smoove, whose beefed up production takes the track in a nu disco direction. 

Bahama Soul Club's upcoming 5th album "Bohemia After Dawn" draws deep inspiration from the multicultural verve of young worldly folk drawn to the Bohemian coasts of the most southwestern part of Europe, where hippiesque hedonism, infinite musical diversity, and offbeat enchanted lifestyles fuel the scene. Featuring a slew of local Algarvian talent as well as members of the extended BSC family, the result is a mature, mellow and well-balanced mix of exotic flavors!

The french brothers Anton & Viktor Pokorny just released a special work on Rituel Recordings label. This time they wanted to tell us a new story, crafted in their studio in Paris. 

Accurately accompanied by a sustained rythm, epic guitar riffs and marvellous vocals. A  serenade called 'Elephas', inspired by a wonderful spanish romance. 

Reworked by Luca Musto and Xique-Xique with two mythic versions.

Coss & Luca Musto - Getting Loose (MLC002)

Straight from the melting pot of Berlin, Luca Musto serves up a solid and fresh house dish in his first album on Moodfamily.

The songs stretch the imagination and touch the borders of hip hop and electronic beats. He intertwines his own musical journey with the sounds of his hometown. It is also the attempt at a new genre by blending hip hop elements with electronic music to create something unique.
