Sorang, the debut album of Yalta native Wulffius (@wulffius), represents his work over the last eight years. The playful creature on the cover, Stone Eater, is based on childhood sketches of the producer's father. The album's name alludes to the first collection of his father's poems, which took its name from a short story by Konstantin Paustovsky, a master of nature writing in Russian prose. Sorang is the name of the south wind that "blows once in centuries," and you can hear its unique warmth in these tracks. There is a sense of wholeness here, a palpable style and atmosphere that permeates the individual pieces.

Wulffius creates what he refers to as "B-sides": something too strange to be danceable, with "complex ease" and rhythmical variety. The music has a charming serenity and beauty thanks to Wulffius' intuitive approach, which is childlike and whimsical in the best possible sense. By the way, Paustovsky wrote Sorang in an hour and a half at a speed writing competition. You can hear a similar spontaneity here, but make no mistake, this is the work of a master that has been crafted over a period of years. It all comes from experience.

Забавный персонаж на обложке, Камнеед, основан на детских рисунках его отца, а слово «Sorang» дублирует название первого отцовского поэтического сборника. Впервые появилось оно в коротком рассказе Константина Паустовского. Соранг — это название жаркого южного ветра, который «дует один раз за многие сотни лет». Вы действительно можете почувствовать тепло от предложенных музыкальных композиций. Точно так же вы можете ощутить цельность альбома, его особый стиль и атмосферу, которая передается от трека к треку.

Wulffius создает музыку, которую сам называет «би-сайдами»: слишком странными в своей «сложной простоте» и ритмическом разнообразии, чтобы быть обычными танцевальными треками. Спокойствие и красота этих композиций очаровывают — в том числе благодаря интуитивному подходу Wulffius к музыке, по-хорошему непосредственному, детскому. К слову, Паустовский написал «Соранг» на конкурсе по письму как упражнение в скорости — и всего за полтора часа. В музыке Wulffius вы тоже можете услышать спонтанность, но не ошибайтесь — это работа мастера, которая с годами становилась все лучше и лучше. Все приходит с опытом.

GOST017: Wulffius "Sorang"

@Koloah с альбомом «Millennium Sun», а также артист @vrodakyiv - «Novi Sanzhary» стали моими особенными вдохновителями в новой рубрике непривычных для вас подкастов от меня. Их творчество тоже присутствует в этой дебютной работе «Connected». 

Я безумно люблю музыку с раннего детства руководствуясь всеми качествами для её глубокого понимания! А особенно, когда годами слышу гигабайты, близкого духом и сердцу родного этно-кода.

Это тот случай, когда есть возможность передать всю эмоциональную составляющую в одном месте с помощью непривычного  электронного звучания будучи уверенным, что тебя поймут. Кстати, обложка тоже передаёт весь эмоциональный фон внутреннего мира на момент написания личного «бэкграунда» через музыку - инструмент передачи того, что можно лишь прочувствовать, услышав.
Любовь и страх, боль и разочарование, отчаяние и надежду.

Identified Patient drops another calamitous record on Pinkman - 4 dungenous slowbeat cuts, brimming with energy, emotion and attitude. The EP kicks off with Geen Syndroom where jaded, murky melodies go in tandem with sexy bass lines and an obliterating broken drum beat. Thereafter, Nog Steeds High Van De Lak progressively evokes feelings of desolation and melancholia, while carrying an aggressive punch and irresistible groove. Do the flip to find two more ferocious productions in Ver Verwijderd Van Vermoeid and Haar Glans Altijd Strak. The former grips you firmly with bubbling acid and machine gun snares on the backdrop of violent kicks.
