Paco Osuna's record label Mindshake welcomes a new groovy house EP from Iglesias.

Iglesias returns to Mindshake after recently dropping a remix of a track by DJ Oliver and Paco Osuna, this time the Spanish artist returns with two original tracks.

Known for his chunky basslines and flowing percussion, Iglesias has an accomplished back catalogue that includes tracks and remixes on labels such as Moon Harbour, Hottrax, Kaluki Musik, Elrow Music and Toolroom.

He is also an accomplished DJ who regularly plays at places like Amnesia in Ibiza plus numerous other prestigious venues around the world.

“Dance To My Drums” opens the release with its hip hop inspired vocals, acid-tinged bassline and techy percussion that creates a rolling groove full of uplifting energy. “Doobee Dub” is a stripped back cut with a muffled vocal sample and jackin' energy.

Argentinian Jay De Lys becomes the third artist to release on Jamie Jones’ newly-minted Paradise Music  imprint, unveiling two new tracks across his new EP ‘Tired Of Loving’. 

Based in the Argentinian capital of Buenos Aires, Jay De Lys is a name that has been appearing more frequently  across the globe following a breakout series of releases on the likes of Nic Fanciulli’s Saved, Lee Foss’ Repopulate  Mars, Stefano Noferini’s Deeperfect and Chus & Ceballos’ Stereo Productions. With heavy support from artists  such as Marco Carola, Loco Dice and Joseph Capriati, alongside appearances across Europe, North America and  beyond, early May sees De Lys turn in a landmark release within his young and promising career as he joins Jamie  Jones’ newly-launched Paradise Music for the release of ‘Tired Of Loving’. 

“I was in Barcelona for my European tour with just my headphones when I started working on this EP. I felt  that the simplicity of my studio setup gave me another perspective and workflow, making me go for more  raw and organic stuff combined with my usual Latin, percussion-focused style. I’m so happy with the  result. For me, these ‘Tired of Loving’ & ‘One Bad Bix’ tracks meant showcasing my disco/housey  influences with a modern touch.” - Jay De Lys.  

Opening the EP, title cut ‘Tired Of Loving’ is a rolling and vibrant production merging crisp rolling drums with a  funky core bassline and soulful vocals to showcase a track built for the Paradise terrace. On the flip, ‘One Bad Bix’  again dives into a carefully woven web of intricate percussion grooves, before the silky smooth melodies emerge  from deep within the mix alongside more hooky vocal samples to shape things up nicely.

An artist who understands groove, Nicola Gavino’s sound echoes vintage flavours with distinct funky and fresh rhythms. His summer has been a busy one, with performances at the likes of Kappa FuturFestival and his long-running residency at Turin’s Audiodrome Club, plus releases on Dennis Cruz and Eddy M’s MÜSE imprint, SOSA’s label COCO, and more. Now, as he steps out on Jamie Jones’ revered Hot Creations for the first time, the Italian talent puts his best foot forward across three peak-time house cuts inspired by the label boss himself.

“The main track was inspired by a video of Kappa's mainstage in 2022 recorded from a friend's phone. Jamie was playing this glitched edit of Sweet Dreams (which I only found more than a year later) which really blew my mind. I watched it so many times that I felt the need to make something myself, recreating and exaggerating that special vibe. The track being. chosen by Jamie himself for Hot Creations is more than a goal and an honour for me; it is about paying respect to a label and a DJ who always inspired me and which I look up to.” - Nicola Gavino

With its sharp synths, feel-good trumpets and deep driving bassline, the spirit of Chicago house is present in opener ‘Givin’ My Love’. Next, ‘Lazer Tool’ offers a more modern minimal sound, rich with percussion and distorted SFX. Closing out the EP, ‘Pump Up’ combines elements from the first two tracks with cutting percussive kicks, warping distorted vocals and a grooving hypnotic bass that’s destined for the dancefloor.

FINNEST presents "Selina" by Sergio Bennett, Jorhav and Reniroots in its second reference of its "Groovy Series" division As the main cut, we find "Selina", a very subtle deep house track with a very beautiful groove and melodies from another galaxy that introduce you little by little along with the vocal stabs, in an irreversible magical state. As a second cut, "With You", incredible pads accompanied by a sexy vocal, make this track an essential, this time with a prettier groove, the vibe is wonderful, a top piece. In short, heating up the dance floor can be something wonderful, this great release from this Hispanic-Peruvian alliance cannot be missing from your playlist.
