The electronic duo from Amsterdam/Hilversum Get Deaf is vile and minimalistic. Their debut album ‘Chef Dad’ which will be released in the Spring of 2015 is jam packed with rhythmic beats, synthesized melodies, homemade samples and rolling basslines
The Producers/multi instrumentalists Johan Cornellissen and Sander Haalboom met one another while studying Sound-design, after working together on various projects they started up Get Deaf in 2013.
Get Deaf is a mix between Sander’s surname (which translated to English means Gettree)  and to the fact that Johan is deaf in one ear.
The album title Chef Dad derives from their day to day life, in which Sander is a chef and Johan is a Dad.
The standalone live show in which Get Deaf takes the stage exists of synthesizers, samplers, sequencers and stompboxes.
