Air is easily my favorite. It's an old song that I considered mediocre... that is until I changed the bassline around about 8 months before release. I'm a HUGE sucker for songs that are just long build-ups to enormous drops. The thing about this is instead of a drop it's just a giant beautiful synth wall. Absolutely love this song to death.

Shadowgraphs is a neo-psychedelic band from Charlotte, NC, comprised of internationally known collage artist Bryan Olson and fellow German cosmonaut Charles Glade (Wils). Both ends met after being introduced through a mutual friend who thought the two shared similar musical interests. Bryan and Wils instantly sparked a connection and songs began to emerge. The two would experiment late nights with tape machines, sharing music and production ideas, and writing songs. After only four months of meeting, an EP titled “Return to Zero” was written and the band was officially born with Ethan Ricks on Bass and Cody Hare on Drums.

Disco Tehran's mixtape was compiled by Arya Ghavamian (Mirza) in collaboration with Aleph at Radio Aire Libre FM.  
This mixtape is made of original tracks by Disco Tehran family "Flor do Real" by Sessa, "Khodaya Chekonam" by Shahram Shabpareh, "La Monita" by Nicolás Losada,  Askiniha (Asmahan Remix) by Zeid Hamdan, and unreleased tracks  by Polo & Pan, Alejandro Molinari, Acid Hamman & Nasiri. 
Charlotte von Kotze, Shirin Saad, Phil Lembke (Sticky Dojah), Ricardo Luiggi (DJ Tresdos) recommended tracks for this mixtape. The poetry is by late Iranian maestro Ahmad Shamloo.  

ALEPH is a collector of musical rarities and a curator of soundscapes. Referential of the past and evocative of the future, his DJ sets are an anthology of rhythms and sounds inspired by a profound interest in history, art and culture. Drawing inspiration from his creative background and meticulous research, Aleph’s music combines elements of Post-Punk, Techno, and rare Space Disco into darkly seductive tonal journeys.

Quirky 60's garage rock is reimagined from the nose of a surfboard, making High Waisted feel like a psychedelic lullaby. They’ve been called NME Magazine’s “Buzz Band to Watch”, declared “The Ultimate Party Band” by GQ and received praise from Consequence of Sound, Noisey, UPROXX, Billboard, LeftBank Mag, Paste, BTR Today, Refinery29, performed live at Nylon Magazine, Paste Magazine, and Sofar Sounds. They spent the last 4 years touring, playing both Riot Fest in Chicago and Denver, and supporting acts like Brazilian Girls, Shannon and the Clams, Kitten, Titus Andronicus, The Donkeys, Har Mar Superstar, The Coathangers, La Sera, Diarrhea Planet, La Luz, and The Shivas.

Jessica Louise Dye’s powerful voice meshes with Jono Bernstein’s vintage drum vibes, to create modern day anthems full of insightful hopes. Despite a bad bicycle injury last summer, Dye and High Waisted kept busy with a Nylon Mag feature, a record store day release alongside Bikini Kill, Lenny Kaye, and Atmosphere, wrote a song for NPR's More Perfect with a podcast feature, featured by SXSW, headlined the Las Vegas Strip Hard Rock Hotel for SBTV, wrapped their 5th sold out High Waisted at Sea and released The Acid Tapes Vol 4.

“Sick of Saying Sorry” (produced by Tad Kubler of the ‘The Hold Steady and mixed by Arun Bali ‘Saves The Day’) is an unapologetic record about finding hope in a hopeless situation and the strength to get up when the world is screaming at you to stay down.
