Wild Dark is an exploration of all that is organic and soulful within a framework of a refined, forward thinking sound that combines elements of house, techno, electronica and everything in between to create a truly fresh take on modern dance music.

Residents of Bespoke Musik, the New York-based event collective and upcoming record label, the artistic collaboration between Corey & Ryan Negrin and their longtime friend, Sal Nastasi, has been many years in the making... the three grew up in the same town in New York. Following his own successful foray into music as a rock band vocalist over the last 15 years, Nastasi reconnected with the brothers and the foundation for what has become Wild Dark was laid. First new music from me in a while! but the first of quite a lot of new stuff dropping in the next couple of months. 

This remix of my cousin, Gwilym Gold has been around for a minute now, but we decided it was time to give it a proper release. It is originally a cut from his amazing record, Tender Metal, that plays from his own app, Bronze, whereby the algorithms change the structure, sound and musicality of the songs, whilst quite amazingly holding their pop core.. its quite a feat and a fucking great record. if you haven't checked it, I can't recommend it enough. (link below) 

anyway, I hope you feel this one, and snap up the vinyl, because that is the only medium of release for the minute. (350 copies only)

This November will see the Little Helpers imprint mark a milestone two hundred releases with a sixtrack EP from Alexi Delano & Butane.

The Little Helpers imprint was launched in 2009 by Andrew Rasse aka Butane and Sean O’Neal aka Someone Else and since its inception has broken countless up-and-coming artists to the scene, as well as releasing material from heavy hitters such as Ryan Crosson, Tim Xavier, Mark Henning, Flashmob, and more. Here we see the label mark a momentous two hundred releases with label co-founder Butane pairing up with Alexi Delano for a fresh collaborative EP.

The release consists of six finely-tuned technoid tracks, a unique psychedelic style for which Butane and Alexi's collaborations have become famous. The opening track kicks things off on a slow burning, hypnotic tip with bumpy drums, vacillating synth swirls and rounded sub bass tones. ‘200-2’ follows and brings a shuffley rhythm, hooky bass stabs and eerie modulating atmosphere, while ‘200-3’ lays down a broken, lo-fi feel with distorted percussion, resonant pad sweeps and a spooky, heads down afterhours vibe.

Track number four turns the corner to the latter half of the release, and sees the pair bring the energy level up with a penetrating acid tinged bass line, sparse drums and dubbed out winding synth swells. Little Helper ‘200-5’ retains that familiar psychedelic vibe, laying the focus here on mind bending atmosphere and everunfolding percussive elements. Lastly, ‘200-6’ brings the energy up to peak level for one last dance, and sees the duo tease out a freaky square wave bass and jacking percussion to shape up the package brilliantly. 

Eschewing cheap tricks, the pair focus on skillful arrangements and a nuts-and-bolts approach to technobuilding to deliver a wicked statement on DJ-friendly tunes. Alexi Delano & Butane’s ‘Little Helpers 200’ is out on Little Helpers 3rd November 2015.

Steaming from a partnership with two decades of experience behind them- Wild Dark takes on contemporary song writing and gives it a unique, thoughtful, modern-take using a wide spectrum of electronic music to tell a story. The trio, comprised of brothers Corey & Ryan Negrin and vocalist Sal Nastasi, stray from cold digital samples in favor of a warmer approach to writing music. The human body is the most highly engineered object in existence, a machine of uncountable parts and unfathomable function. Its workings have served as inspiration for all of humanity's greatest inventions. This work is an homage to the two most amazing mechanisms in that machine: the human eye and hand. The head is a 16 foot camera obscura demonstrating the ray optics principals underlying the spherical lensed eye humans posses and the hands are actuated mimicking the tendons and bones of the body. Together they represent what separates life from the rest of the universe, the ability to observe the world around us and manifest change in that world.

When we heard the first skits of his new demos we immediately fell in love.
Compuphonic about MY LOVE: ’This track reminds me of a beautiful day in autumn when leaves start falling from trees and the landscape is filled with different colours. It’s a homage to all these great melodic house records I rediscovered when going through my record collection.’

Lately Compuphonic launched his fantastic mixtape series ’Compuphonic Tales’ - a touching mix of all things melodic. 
He also had festival appearances at Pukkelpop and Tomorrowland among others.

His last Exploited releases - such as ’Radio Atlantis’ and ‘The Sun Does Rise’ (nearly 1 million plays on Majestic Casual) - have picked up great support by radio stations and bloggers worldwide.

Born in 1983 in Liège, Belgium, Maxime Firket grew up surrounded by music. He studied music theory and classical music at the Academy and did not choose the easy route by opting to study the cello. "A demanding and monodic instrument which forces you to find the right sound and the right note to make yourself heard. My cello background is still useful to me today." As an adolescent, he dreamt of playing in a rock group, but also discovered Kraftwerk, Depeche Mode, Front 242 and Detroit techno. After having created his own studio and put together a few mixes on a Roland Compuphonic synthesiser (yes, that’s where the name comes from...), Maxime soon found himself behind the decks at Dirty Dancing nights in Brussels and recorded his first tracks for Dirty Dancing Recordings. In 2006, his reputation exploded on the dance floor with the groovy "Emotion", produced in collaboration with Tiga and released on his label ‘Turbo’.

Compuphonic’s Sunset (ft. Marques Toliver) reached over 10 000 000 views (and counting) on YouTube with support on BBC RADIO 1 by Annie Mac, Pete Tong & Rob Da Bank.

With releases on labels such as Get Physical, Tiga's Turbo, 20:20 Vision, Systematic and Exploited, Compuphonic has long been regarded by those in the know as one of Europe's top producers and DJs. He has played shows at Pukkelpop, Dour Festival, Eurosonic, SXSW, Sonar Festival, Monegros, & many more.
 Compuphonic’s dedication and elaborateness delivers spontaneous productions of hedonistic house. Natural, open to large spaces, ambitious but always accessible. Handling music as the art form it is.
