I hihgly enjoy listening to this podcast, but I felt as if this episode was a contradiction within itself.  There was much commentary around what you all perceived as Brandy’s shortcomings and they came off as condescending and based in judgement.  

I believe there was a way to offer adlibs that were contemplative and introspective, and not from a place of belittlement.  But, there were statements made by all that this was not the premise of the episode.  

I was excited by this beginning. I even tweeted about it, but as this one went on, this episode got kinda dark. This pod is usually positive, I LOVE y'all, but this was hard to get through. We don't know Brandy or Monica or their lives for certain. The only other people that know what it's like to be them would be Brandy and Monica. It felt really judgemental. I love both women and the hosts of this show and it felt like a missed opportunity to celebrate two amazing black women.

These comments are hilarious🤣. Having an opinion or just keeping it real does not instantly constitute as bashing. Y'all just don't like having uncomfortable conversations and can't handle the unfiltered truth.

How would it sound if you were recording a conversation with your homegirls? It would sound very similar to what you're hearing. They're def team brandy on talent and team monica on humanness. A lot of people were exposed to a side of Brandy they hadn't seen before whereas we all know what Monica is about so of course more of the conversation is about Brandy.

yeaaa... I didn't even finish the episode. Although yall offered a disclaimer more than half way through, saying that it wasn't a "Brandy bashing episode" and "let's get to music" the conversation still remained the same. Idk. I just couldn't get with it. Maybe it was the guest, but this episode wasn't it.
