I like the kick drum a little more more. It still needs some high end slap to it though to round it of. Maybe use an audio rack w/ 2 chains, one chain being the dry signal and the second having a little distortion.

I really like the 2 step drum break, especially with the addition of the hi-hats. The only thing is that is seems like it needs a little more "drive." So maybe some sharp rim shots and maybe an varying pattern with the kick/snare.

Here would be a really good place to use some sidechain compression. Maybe even layer this with some background noise (like a sample of some traffic on a freeway) that is also sidechained to the kick.
