Newly born label and Berlin-based collective Get Together drops her first release with its GTVA series: 4 various artist mini LPs geared for DJs with 7 tracks each. They contain a mixture of Afro, Disco, Jazz-influenced and Experimental House tracks topped off with a few spicy hip hop instrumentals. The release is a well-curated blend of styles from the scene's most appreciated up-and-coming artists as well as a few undiscovered talents. Its diversity makes it a default in any DJs record bag - with club tracks for warm ups, peak moments or experimental after hours sets.

Simon Hinter @simonhinter may be a new name to many but this DJ and producer based in Germany already put out a handful of releases over the past ten years. On his Freerange debut entitled "Tired Up", he delivers four brilliant original tracks, demonstrating his versatility and skills in putting together fresh jams to work the dancefloors (in a near future). 

Here we share with you "Lifestreams", a classic MPC jam, cutting up some bass and stabs riff and re-sequencing into a high-energy, rolling workout. 

The title track "Tired Up" is a sleazy, low-slung filtered groover which works up a looped guitar riff, throbbing sub bass and driving disco drums. It is minimal, yet primed and ready to draw you onto the floor. "Heaven & Hell" goes in a deeper direction, going heavy on emotive chords, Moog line and fat claps. Things wind down with "Looking Back", a hazy, warm and sundrenched sound, sitting in between Nightmares On Wax and Session Victim. 

Definitely one of the best - if not the best - release from Freerange Records this year so far, and clearly a producer to keep both eyes on.

The highly anticipated project of long-time friends Hans Müller and Wolfgang Schneider bring to you LAZYWAX. Meeting at a discotheque in Berlin, the duo immediately began finding similar interests in their favourite Italia-disco producers and composers. Their instant connection lead to the birth of their first track ‘Pluto’ at Han’s studio on an 8 track tape machine, Minimoog Model-D and a Juno 60.

Since the inception of the LAZYWAX project, the pair have been devoted to the studio where they have been tirelessly working to create an array of quintessential discotheque tracks which draw on elements of modern European disco, whilst still paying homage to disco deities of the seventies and eighties. Although the project has been kept tightly-sealed over the years, the rumours have finally surfaced about a string of live performances set to take place in the near future.
