Joe Bradley - better known as Latmun, has somewhat arisen to the very top echelon of contemporary UK house music production. Following the huge releases of ‘Whos That’ on the VIVa Warriors Season 4 compilation mix and ‘Def EP’ on VIVa LIMITED, we are thrilled to welcome back Latmun with another EP worthy of again becoming a staple in everyone’s music collections and DJ sets.

First announcing himself as a resident at Nottinghams clubbing institution, Stealth, Latmun’s career has quickly progressed following the release of ‘Def’ in 2016. Reaching upwards of 150k listens on Soundcloud this expertly produced EP defined Latmun’s sound, who is now known for producing some of the best grooves in UK house and techno.

Bradley’s latest success has come from Green Velvet’s Relief label where ‘Everybodys Dancing’ and ‘That’s Good’ were released with the EP reaching number 1 overall on Beatport. Prior to this he was a part of the respected 2016 remix package of Velvet’s classic ‘Flash’. Leftwing & Kody’s Lost label has also accommodated a number of Latmun’s releases, notably ‘Cosmic’ which made it to no’ 5 in the charts. Another recent output came as a remix on Emerald City of The Golden Boy’s “Egyptian Lover”, which continued the consistency achieving a number 2 overall.

Support has come far-and-wide for this talented young producer and DJ and he can be found in Ibiza this summer playing for Jamie Jone’s Paradise parties at DC10, along with a number of dates for the Cuckooland Pool Parties at Ibiza Rocks curated by Do Not Sleep. The future is bright for Latmun, and this Tech House EP could easily reach the same heights as ‘Def’ did last year.

Oliver Thomas, another legend from the UK that came stomping into the Hood Politics family with class. We signed these tracks months ago knowing they would do some serious damage on this spring and boy are we  ecstatic to finally welcome Oliver to the label and to share this EP with you all.

Oliver blessed us with three tracks to pin point his style and presence in the scene, and what do they tell us? Deep grooves, sophisticated drums and percussion, and street certified vocal cuts - this kid is on a level that most strive to be on. All three productions are immaculate, each one dipping into the styles that represent both Oliver and our label seamlessly. From upbeat tech, to dark grooves and back to the deep set rollers that we know and love, this release is one to keep an eye on.

To round out this dangerous EP, UK heavyweight Aiden Francis makes his first appearance on the label with a stellar remix. Aiden delivers an upbeat funky, acid induced house track with a solid disco vibe perfect for transitioning any set to that next level. Homie killed it!

The UK has been steady providing us with some of our favorite producers to work with, and this EP is no exception. Enjoy!

PREMIERE: Oliver Thomas - Henry's Horn [Hood Politics Records]

Deeper Purpose & Intrusive are moving fast with strong steps that clearly set the foundations of a prolific career in a near future. With their second EP in our label, the UK artists continues the formula of doing tech-house seasoned beats with a solid structure and an excellent use of effects. This formula is gaining adepts day by day and allows the duo to sign successful releases in well know labels such as Repopulate Mars, VIVa MUSiC or Cr2 Records. For this new Roush' appearance the duo brings us an exquisite two track EP entitled 'Mr Motivator'. Title track is peak-time stuff based on a solid drum beat and a raw vocal that repeats a catchy word. The well built effect on the breakdown is something to take account into because shows the production abilities of the duo. Next, second cut 'Snake Charmer' offers a great b-side based on a looped percussion that gives an afro vibe to the composition but the great thing comes with the main breakdown where an indian flute plays a main role offering a great and captivating melody.
