Former residents of the legendary DV1 club and explorers of the EU electronic scenes are back on BNJ with 3 original tracks, blasting from heavy electro beats to more classic acid house patterns, and maybe everything in between. With their unique sense of how to shake a dancefloor, they crafted carefully the music to club heaters, gathering UK bass hoovers with textured basslines. And as long as a journey is never made alone, they welcomed aboard Smogo, BNJ’s headmaster for a powerful fast techno remix of ‘Lucid Mirage’, alongside the strong-hitting knowledge of Anastasia Zems’ indie dance music, and the deep tech, trance flirting experience of the mighty Audrey Danza.

Syrinx Music is pleased to welcome Midnight Totem amongst its catalogue. Persephone is her fourth release, following an album released on Tripalium Corp last year: over the course of twelve tracks and 42 minutes, Midnight Totem showcases her sound, taking cues from 90s-style IDM, electro, dark techno, ambient, breaks & more. These various influences are connected by Midnight Totem’s unique touch, lying on her taste for deep arpeggios, murky melodies and a punk approach to music production. Aerial layers of synths, melodic keys & echoes of distant voices combine in successive vignettes, creating an atmosphere that simultaneously emanates melancholy and menace. Persephone also makes great use of Midnight Totem’s signature lo-fi sound, favouring immediacy in her music writing, and placing the expression of feelings and sensations at the core of her productions. This new album is thus a perfect reflection of Midnight Totem’s aesthetics, in line with Syrinx Music’s ethos – always located at the many crossroads between the lab & the club.

Dark Entries calls on Philadelphia experimental duo The Ghostwriters to resurrect their 1981 LP of minimalist mayhem, Objects In Mirrors Are Closer Than They Appear. The late Buchla maestro Charles Cohen and multi-instrumentalist Jeff Cain joined up in 1971 to craft electroacoustic chaos as Anomali, later renaming themselves The Ghostwriters. Their collaborations with choreographers and visual media artists led to their singular style, straddling improvisation and composition, the oneiric and the immediate. 1981 saw the release of their debut album, Objects In Mirrors Are Closer Than They Appear, a whirling, messy, telepathic slipstream cascading across an imaginary landscape. Recorded in Don Buchla’s childhood home, Objects offers 8 cuts of minimalist electronic bliss, equal parts icy and quirky, with standout cuts including the grooving havoc of “Fix it in the Mix” and the otherworldly hymn “Moon Chant.” These angular pearls will be cherished by fans of John Bender, Ceramic Hello, and all strains of outsider 80s electronics. Objects In Mirrors Are Closer Than They Appear has been freshly remastered and includes an insert with photos and liner notes. Proceeds from the album will be donated to SOSA (Safe from Online Sex Abuse), a nonprofit that combats online child sex abuse and trafficking.

We are so happy to be able to release a new ep to the world with so many beautiful people involved. At first @margo.feirabend (Maria Eugênia Feirabend) (Instagram) went on an excursion to visit one of the original peoples and helped us make this communication and record the songs of the Shanenawa tribe. Shanenawa meaning ‘People of the blue bird’. It is a very beautiful bird that existed and is now endangered. It is because of its rarity that we are different; That's why the Shanenawa people only have one in Acre and they don't have one anywhere else in Brazil.

With its burgeoning electronic music scene, Finland is becoming a hotbed of musical talent right now. Having already remixed JEPE, TJH87 and French electro-pop stars Jupiter as well as releasing a slew of singles for Phat Elephant, Artisan, Something Different and DeepClass, Smok takes things up a notch with his first EP for Youth Control.

Having been a DJ over a decade, Smok knows how to design a track for the dancefloor. ’Walking Through The Fire’ blends classic vocal house with contemporary deep vibes to great effect. ’You Groove’ offers something a little pacier with something approaching a merger of tech and disco. Then there’s further demonstration of Smok’s versatlity with the slick and sultry ’Smooth Rain’.

Remixes of ’Walking..’ round out the package as Smok invites acts from across Finland’s diverse music scene to bring their own unique talents to bear. Disco Despair switches thing around with his smooth, sexy pop retake, Somepoe chops vocals and traps beats, while AMPR delivers an electro-tinged, funky, hands-in-the-air version.
